I recently changed the battery on my 2001 Corsa with standard Blaupunkt radio/cassette player and it reset the stereo system. When I switch it on the word 'SAFE' appears in the digital display and I can't seem to get past this, regardless of the combination of buttons I press. Can anybody with a knowledge of this stereo system or the relevent manual shed any light on the required procedure? I do have the radio code if this is required at any stage.

you need to sit in the car turn the ignition so the lights on the dash come on, but dont start the car! with the radio off hold down the AS button and then turn on the radio but still hold the AS button down until it bleeps. It should come up with 10 and then 4 dashes like this 10---- (dont worry if the 10 isnt there). then using the 1234 keys put the code in. For example if your radio code is 4342, you press 1 four times till 4 comes up, then press 2 three times til 3 comes up and so on. Once the code is on the screen press and hold AS again and it should bleep and then start working again!
Hope this helps!!

Normally you just punch in the code using the station selector buttons. If that doesn't work, you'll need to go to a Blaupunkt dealer for help. That's not the factory original system so a Chevy dealer probably can't help you.
