Apply to English Time on Istaiklal. The Manager is Karen or Molly. http://www.englishtime.com/branches2.asp
phone # 90 212 293 9723 ASK FOR MOLLY but e-mail is better as the sweet boys and girls who answer the phone do not speak English: taksim@englishtime.com English Time owns a bunch of schools; one in the UK and one in Canada, they pay the most, they are fairly organized and the education level is quite good.
This is the only school I can recommend that pays decently, and gives what they promise. Some of the teachers are proffessionals, a lot of the schools will hire anyone.
You also can look into teaching at a private university or a private high school or primary school, again the pay is good but there is no specific school I can recommend.
It is fun. you'll enjoy it. It snows in the winter and it looks fantastic!
There is one other school that is good but I can't remember the name of it. It is in Taksim near the Marmara Hotel, in the building with 'me gusta' resturant...anyone know it???? They have a bunch of banches too and it is computer based.... hopefully someone will give you the name. good luck

Hi, i lived there for five years, teaching. You will need a teaching qualification. Don't know about back-stage theartre work. Haven't been't been there for about 7 years, so I guess there must have been changes. I found it a great place to live. Like anywhere, if you learn a little of the language life is easier. A city not without problems, but people generally very friendly.
