So I take it the Mucinex didn't work well for you? Or maybe it did and that's why the drainage and sore throat. I'm almost embarrassed because you awarded me best answer on that question.
Like I mentioned before, I can't take OTC meds. My favorite remedy for a sore throat is a cup of hot chicken broth-grandma's remedy. I like to add a few chives or finely chopped green onion just for something different. Anything warm and clear will be soothing.
I take methotrexate for my RA and I have a perpetual sore throat because of it. When it gets too irritating, I gargle with a little warm salt water. Gross, but it helps to clear out any gunk and acts as a disinfectant.
I'm so sorry to hear that you're still sick. I do hope you feel better soon.

Post-nasal drip sucks, dude. I was sick for 4 days and lost my voice because of that.
Gargle some salt water, that should work for your sore throat.
If you want to take care of your nasal congestion, I used this spray called Neo-Synephedrine. It's OTC, and I think it's relatively cheap.

Unpasteurized honey. Take a teaspoon of eucalyptus boil it in a pot of water. Put steaming pot on table and put a towel over your head and inhale the steam. The honey will soothe your throat and the eucalyptus will help to continue the clearance of the nasal congestion.

Salt water gargling does help. Also, if you can, keep the air moist by using a humidifier. That will help with the drainage. Eucalyptus essential oil is soothing, but dont apply it directly to your body. Put some in a diffuser. I hope you feel better.

At the risk of sounding old-fashioned, gargle a soluble aspirin, or even just warm salt water. Also should work pretty quickly, albeit temporarily.

As with others...
You might want to try salt and lime. It works all the time, with warm water.
Usually it relieves for a few hours till the symptoms goes off within 3-4 days.

I HATE a sore throat! I've not found many medicines that help it at all.
The best thing to do, is to eat something hot and moist. For me, that works better than just drinking something hot.
Hope you feel better.
