Sure. If the UK turned its back on the UN, then they could do all the illegal things they wanted to (like invade Egypt) but were stopped from doing. Or they could invade all the countries they wanted to (like Iraq) without the hassle of getting any resolutions! They could even begin a legal genocide against say, the Irish!!
The UN was created by the UK and other nations to prevent these things from happening (triggered by the behaviour of some bad people called NAZIS that were doing all the above...remember??). What we need is for Security Council reform, ie. a rotating body of member states, rather than giving all the power to the 5 current members.
As for our navy personnel, there WERE in Iranian waters illegally, and given all the threats Britain has been making towards Iran, they freaked out. We would have done the same. The UN's actions have not been condemned by anyone but Britian, and unsurprisingly, some American press.
If you love America so much, why not move there?

UN fell apart rather than upset Hitler. It seems Satalite and other conclusive evidence is not enough for it to give Iran a forcefull directive. And as usual Russia sides with the bad guys.

I don't care about the EU, but I DO hope that the stupid power hungry Britain and especially America (B&A) pull out of the UN -which in itself is a great idea gone sour because of corruption MAINLY by the two afore-mentioned countries. Without the lies supporting the myth of "democrasy" the future Afghanistans and Iraqs, ie: the countries targeted for invasion because of B&A's ruthless greed will be able to do a Mugabe on them prontissimo (except better) without being stopped by the UN (which is practically RUN by B&A ANWYAY.) Time to do away with the lies, deceit and corruption propagated by these two self-proclaimed leaders of the world in the name of bloody "democrasy for all" -if they're so great, WHY isn't the world ACTUALLY doing better? Why aren't their OWN nations doing close to 100%? (eg: illiteracy, teenage pregnancies, being banned for hooliganism ABROAD, for God sakes, etc.) And if the UN were doing its job, wouldn't it have gone out of business YEARS ago? By ALL means, pull out and let the developing nations do THEIR thing to land on their OWN two feet (after all it's our own problem.) And should you want to come over here like you did years ago to pillage and enslave, BRING it. If it should take another century of war and tears, we'll put you in your place.

the USA the UK Anzac and Canada should form the Anglican Alliance and stop the nonsense. The EU will never support the UK they just want the money and the handed of forces and technologies. When poorer nations join the EU they will fill the UK up with the refugees. The UN is Krap, waste of time.

You have mentioned to organizations that are spreading socialism around the world, UN and EU. Both should be broken up while there is still time. A one world government is dangerous and will only cause the world its worst experiences ever.

I cannot remember a time when the U.N. was more irrelevant than it is now.
The good people of Britain are slow to react but once provoked are a formidable force. Once again in both Britain and the U.S. for men and women of substance to take control and force the appeasers to stand down.
If Iran's leadership is as foolish as Saddam was they may very well overplay their hand. They do so at their peril. God save the Queen, God bless America!

Too many alterior motives and backroom deals(Usually money and future economic ties) I think. It's disgusting that these supposedly learned representatives can't do what they KNOW is the right thing to do.
I wonder why Iran is pushing for a war so hard? What countries would benefit from that?

I feel the UN is a waist of time and money for everyone. They set out with the best intenstions and all but they look for the US and Britian to do there dirty work. They have and army. quit spreading it to thin and handle your crap. I say we send the bristish marines and one battalion of recon and take back those sailors. whos with me.

Absolutely and so should the US. All the UN has become is somewhere for all the ambassadors from other countries to go, live the New York City lifestyle, and blow hot air. Send them all home and turn the UN building into a Beef processing plant. There would be less B.S.
