Wrong is wrong no matter how you look at it whether Christian or not. Thats why there are laws and consequences for breaking those laws. While having sex with multiple partners isn't illegal (by manmade law), there are consequences to be paid.
God wants us to enjoy our life here on earth, but we are also to focus on what comes after.
The devil would have you believe that nothing comes after this this life here on earth, so go ahead, live it up.
God gives us free will to make all kinds of choices. He wants us to come to Him on our own. He does call each and every one of us.
Hard work and repentence is not the meaning of our life as children of God. You over simplify what you don't understand.
Loving one another is the main reason we are here. It is the only way we can hope to know God.
Believe it or not, God is even reaching out to you right now.
Or you wouldnt be here posting this question. He wants you to investigate a little further about Him.
Try it, you wont regret it.

I suppose you need a higher definition of WHY things are a sin. It isn't sufficient that the Bible and many other religious books say so, right? I understand. I'm the same way.

1. Why is it a "sin" to have sex with multiple partners?
A. It causes emotional problems. A person can NEVER be satisfied with what they have, if they're used to having a lot of something, especially from many different sources. We were made to be monogamous. Doing otherwise IS going against what we were meant for.
B. Contraceptives are NOT 100% effective. Even using "protection" does NOT guarantee that a person will not transmit or contract an STD, or get pregnant/get someone else pregnant. If a woman has sex with six guys in one weekend, and she gets pregnant, how will she know who the father is?
Those are the two main reasons, though there are many others.

2. Why is it a sin to get drunk?
A. A person can drink twenty beers every night for a week, a month, a year, or even ten years, and nothing bad happen. Then ONE TIME they can do the same, and wind up in the hospital, or even in the morgue. Is it worth the risk? It's like jumping off the third floor of a building. You can do it a hundred times, and not even sustain one injury. But then ONE TIME, you take the leap, land wrong and break your neck. Why take the risk?
B. Drinking heavily for an extended period of time destroys your liver. This is a scientific FACT. My uncle was a heavy drinker, and he died of a failed liver. You may have fun for a time, but eventually it catches up with you.
C. Getting drunk has a detrimental affect on relationships. When my husband used to drink heavily, he became a mean, spiteful person, especially when he was drinking gin. I become violent when I get drunk off tequila. Drinking heavily impairs your judgement. How many people have gotten drunk the night before, and wake up the next morning with a bad hangover, cringing at the things they said and did, if they even remember? I know I have. That's why I don't drink more than two glasses of wine ANY time, and I drink those only with dinner.

It's not a sin to:
Watch movies.
Hang out with friends.
LAUGH.
Attend concerts.
Joke around.
Love people.
Be kind.
Be generous.
Be honest.
Play sports.
Travel.
Read.
LEARN.
Have pets.
Love your children.
Enjoy food (in moderation, of course).
Listen to music.
Praise God!

There are so many things which are not only permissible, but ARE beneficial to us that we CAN do, that make our life enjoyable. There is so much more to life than working hard and "repenting." I believe God wants us to enjoy life, but He doesn't want us doing things that could harm ourselves or others.

It would be a WONDERFUL world if people would realize this, and apply it to their lives. I live a very full life as a Christian. I have fun, I laugh, I LOVE, and I have many friends of all faiths and races. THIS is what life is about.

Enjoying life is not a sin. Some people consider things that are Biblically sinful to be enjoyable. But let's look a little further. You mention sex with multiple partners and "bad activities". You don't have to be a Christian to know that these things are not beneficial. These things are only momentarily enjoyable, because their consequences can follow you throughout your life and ruin your life. It's immature to ignore that. Sure, everyone wants to do these things in the dark, thinking no one will ever find out, but truthfully, having sex with multiple partners and "bad activities" (hatred, lying, cheating, stealing, deception, etc.) will ALWAYS catch up with you. Maybe not now, but they will eventually. I believe our human experience has purpose. Everything has been laid out before us; good and bad. It's up to us to learn, make mistakes, grow, and mature. God's greatest lesson to man is SELF CONTROL. We've got to choose.

According to Christians it is. The way I see it, as long as you aren't hurting anybody you can and should do pretty much anything you want to. By all means, have sex with whoever, whenever you want, as long as you wear a condom or if you're female, make your partner wear a condom, so you don't spread diseases. Indulge in "bad" activities like drinking, drugs, etc., it's a victimless crime as long as you're not out driving and mowing down pedestrians or something.
Might as well live life to its fullest.

It is not a sin to enjoy life. The guidelines were set in place to help our lives be longer and healthier. Multiple sexual partners can spread venereal disease. Drinking to excess and using drugs debilitates the body and can lead to other bad choices, like having sex with someone you don't know much about, or ending up in a situation where someone takes advantage of you. It is really a matter of self respect. God made you, and you are important to him.

looking like a peguin and living a life of abstenence and just sitting there reading seems to be the only way not to sin these days.

I think people have taken religion so out of context and made it way to complicated and are cruel about it now.

If people dont like the way someone lives their life they can go eat corn and mind their own buisness because its not harming anyone else if Im safly having sex with someone or if im eating a shrimp....

Sorry about my rant

It's not a sin. You only live life once, might as well enjoy it, right? After all, the best way to live life is by enjoying it. =)

It really depends what sort of activities you are refering when you said enjoying your life. Remember `what go out from you , comes back to you in due course' `What you reap, you sow'

ABSOLUTELY. We were put on thies Earth to suffer daily and to be generally miserable.

Incidentally -"enjoying life" is this to you, is it? Having sex, indulging in bad habits..? I must be doing badly. REALLY badly.
