You should listen to yourself first. If you want to follow your dream, then go for it. But you shouldn't be too naive when it comes to reaching your goal. You should be smart, reasonable, realistic and have a good outlook for yourself and for other people.
If you want to do creative works, look up to a specific job or and then ask yourself, "Will it make me happy once I become one? Will it give me a great success? Is this job stable?" If you answer no to any of these, then look for another one or else you might feel miserable later on.
Plan a journey to achieve your goal. You shouldn't just skip to a big hit without doing something. Think of a job that will guide you to success and happiness. In fact, I want to be a filmmaker and writer, but I know I shouldn't be one all of a sudden because they're not the "in demand" jobs. So I plan to be an actress and I columnist before doing these.
And don't forget to have a very good and flowing conversation with your parents. Tell them that you don't want to be a software engineer, that you want a different career, and show your talents and determination that would persuade them to go for it. That way they'll support you and things will be great. Life will be bad if you'll be working on a career you're not happy with.
I hope your parents will understand you and I hope that your relationship with them will be more than just great, especially then it comes to this. And I wish the best of luck for you. Stay strong, be yourself and look around you always.

Unless your parents can support you financially you can't fulfill your dream of having your own company. And what is your creative output so far? In which field do you excel? If you share those details, I can give you a better advice.

I am from a country where back then (or maybe still today), parents take control of what their children has to take in college. But as what my parents has told me that I should follow what I like to do in my career, I think that if you do not follow your dreams, you will never succeed in life or even progress in your job.
You should enjoy on what you have taken in college so that you may not have regrets in the near future or in your career.
=)

This is a simple answer that probably won't help, but.... how about web design? You'd be doing computer stuff your parents like, and you'd be creating interesting looking internet pages.
