How do you feel when we repeatedly speak out, but after seeing this, those who were complaining that we don't act like it never happened and demand again that we speak out? If you think it's wrong, post. Everyone knows I'm a muslim woman, proud of it, and would defend it with my life, but I also know that killing innocent people is wrong. So, for those of you who are with me, say so! Islam is the religion of peace, and it's been hijacked by heartless idiots out to harm everyone, including us muslims.

This is for those who say that we don't and they've never heard it. It's true, you haven't heard it, becuase then you'd see we're not all bad and that wouldn't look good on Bush and those who are profiting from it majorly. Check the link. Hundreds of sites to many muslims condemning terrorism.

I agree with you
One of the many short comings which has arisen in the West, is judging Islam by the conduct of a minority of its people.
By doing this, segments of Western society have deliberately played off the desperate actions of many Muslims, and have given it the name of Islam. Such behaviour is clearly not objective and seeks to distort the reality of Islam. For if such a thing was done - judge a religion by the conduct of its people - then we too could say that all Christianity is about is child molesting and homosexuality [1] whilst Hinduism was all about looting and breaking up mosques [2]. Generalising in such a manner is not seen as being objective, yet we find that the Western world is foremost in propagating this outlook on Islam.
So what is the reality of Islam? How does one dispel the myths which have been created and spread so viciously? The only way to examine Islam is to simply examine its belief system. Look at its sources, the Qur'an and Sunna, and see what they have to say. This is the way to find the truth about what Islam says about terror, terrorism and terrorists. One who is sincerely searching for the truth, will do it no other way.
The very name Islam comes from the Arabic root word 'salama' which means peace. Islam is a religion which is based upon achieving peace through the submission to the will of Allah. Thus, by this very simple linguistic definition, one can ascertain as to what the nature of this religion is. If such a religion is based on the notion of peace, then how is it that so many acts done by its adherents are contrary to peace? The answer is simple. Such actions, if not sanctioned by the religion, have no place with it. They are not Islamic and should not be thought of as Islamic.
at last ALLAH said what means
"And what is the matter with you that you do not fight in the cause of Allah and for those weak, ill treated and oppressed among men, women and children whose only cry is; 'Our Lord, rescue us from this town whose people are oppressors and raise for us from you one who will protect and raise for us from you one who will help"
(Surah An-Nisa 4:75)

Yes, I am a Muslim and I condemn terrorism. It's horrible to be stereotyped as a terrorism. What I follow in Islam is completely different than from the terrorists. They are not following Islam. They are being mislead and it's creating disaster after disaster.
I am proud to be a Muslim and I too would never kill anybody.
However, we have to be aware that many Americans just don't know what the true Islam is. They follow the news and think, "Oh, all Muslims want to kill me!"
Never mind the fact that there already close to one million Muslims in the States and do you hear any crimes about Muslims attacking Americans? I hear more about Americans mistreating Muslims. What is that called? Oh, yeah racial profiling.
You know, it's the propaganda of the government. They want Americans to hate or fear Muslims so they can feel alright about the war in Iraq. Though the war in Iraq is really not about bringing democracy over there, but I won't go into detail here.

Did you know for all the gobbledygook these terrorists are spreading, saying that non-Muslims are the greatest threat to Islam.Did you know who has posed the greatest threat to the existence of Islam? Not Christians, not Jews, not anyone else... but ding ding ding..... MUSLIMS. Thats right, It was Muslims who in the NAME OF RELIGION slaughtered the family and the Grandson of prophet Mohammed (pbuh), 14 something hundred years ago. It was Yazid and his army who brutally killed the 72 family members of the grandson of Prophet Mohammed, Imam Hussein. They didn't even spare a 6 month old kid.... can you believe the audacity. Just watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L52KSbt3ZCU&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Easkshia%2Ecom%2F
The massacre of the Karbala by MUSLIMS, was the most tragic event ever in the history of man kind. Seriously, who in there right minds would kill there own religious leaders and Imams and deny their right to leadership.... only Muslims, yeah some of us are special, ed lol. And I believe that these terrorists are the the same type of terrorists that partook in the battle of Karbala. Don't worry, I so can't wait for judgment day, and see these fools burn in hell. Allah (swt) will throw these people in hell, and they will never find happiness neither in this life nor in the next. As far as me speaking out, every time I go to my mosque (which is kinda rare, lol... cut me some slack i am in college) , everyone there condemns terrorism and we educate ourselves about these things so we know what to do if we are ever face to face with a terrorist.

Ameen. Though I do not favor America or the USA Government the 9/11 attacks were NOT done by Arabs. If you watch Fox News you'll see that 9/11 was done by Jews and that the CIA, FBI, and other top USA government agencies know this. The tragedy on 9/11 was a deafening blow to America, and Muslims around the world. Don't listen to the Jewish controlled media. Get to know Muslims in your communities and apologize to the Muslim people for wrongly accusing them of acts they didn't commit.

Obviously Islam is a relegion of peace. As a matter of fact Islam it self means peace, submission to God. Dont ever judge a whole nation by some people and those some people are the terrorists and that nation is Islam and the people getting affected are the true Muslims.

Islam teaches peace, force is used only when needed.
What individual Muslims, who follow their passions and ignorance, do can never be Islam's attitude. Islam is what is in the Qur'an revealed, and what our Prophet Muhammad SAWS said.
Do not let that mass media, with their wrong interpretations, make influence. Make efforts finding informations that truely represent Islam.
And all praise be to Allah, the Lord of all worlds,
And may Allah's peace be upon His swt prophet Muhammad, his family and companions.

I agree with you.
As muslims we should be doing something to stop terriorism, it is wrong Islam forbids it.
Muslims should only fight if they have to defend themselves. No muslim should be the one to start a fight.
Islam clearly forbids the killing of innocent people, women, old people & children.
Islam teaches that one should use fighting as a last option & reasoning as a first option. ( the pen is mightier than the sword)
Islam also says: That we should not force anyone to embrace
Islam , they should embrace it out of thier own free will.
Islam also teaches us to respect non muslims & thier beliefs.
Islams clearly states that if you have no option when in a war & you have to kill someone - you should make thier death as painless as possible.
As a muslim i feel that some muslims have clearly misunderstood the teachings of Islam, They have used Islam for thier own Political power struggle. It is upsetting that all muslims get branded as teriorists just because a few are ignorant.
I believe we as muslims should stand up against terriorism not only from muslims but stand up against all terriorists including the terriorists that hide behind a mask & claim to be doing good but all they doing is causing distruction.
So people need to remember that not all terriorists are muslim, their are christian terriorists, Jewish terriorists as well, its just that the world turns a blind eye to other terriorists.
May Allah (swt) guide those muslims that have gone astray & show them the right path.

thank you proud muslimah, for saying that...i too am a muslim girl who has, i believe, tried my best to change the image of us muslims as blood-thirsy terrorists..i'm quite passionate about our religion and to me what these terrorists are doing is the worst not only because of the lives that are lost(which is also extremely horruble, mind you), but also because of how difficult they're making it to co-exist with people of other relgions peacefully..95% of the muslims here atleast has at one time or the other tried to convince people that islam is all about peace, but there are still people like the first answerer, who are like 'why only words and no action?',..i mean what are we supposed to do?like them we too have our families, our duties etc. and the best we could do is speak out against them..there are many charity dinners etc.and peace rallies and all held but people are just not very aware of those..so whenever you need someone to say with you, call me!!i'll be right there in front of the line..

Islam is against terrorism. It is wrong to equate Islam and the people who do terrorism in the name of Islam. The very word Islam is a derivative of the root word "Salam" which means peace.
There are some people who have not understood Islam in the right sense and do all these non-sense.
And not condemning does not mean supporting. There are virtually umpteen atrocities going on against humans in the name of religion. We are condemning whatever we hear of.
And Mr "kit f", for your comments, why not you start it and set an example for others.
