I agree with you 100%. I don't believe in the exclusivity of the Christian faith that says all others are "false prophets"...doesn't make any sense that there would be just one single time in human history that God decided to visit His children via a human "son".

1. Jesus fulfilled ALL of the prophesies regarding the Messiah, made more than five hundred years before He was born.
2. If He was not the Son of God, then He was either a really good actor, or He was crazy, and so were the hundreds of people who saw Him, alive and fully healed, after He had been crucified.
3. How do we know Jesus was resurrected? When Jesus was arrested, His disciples scattered to the four winds. They were scared that they would be arrested too. A short time later, they were suddenly willing to die stating that Jesus not only was the Son of God, but He WAS God, in human flesh. May I remind you that only ONE of the disciples died a natural death?
4. If He was just a prophet, He would not have been crucified for blasphemy and heresy.
5. Since when do humans rise from the dead?
6. His disciples believed that He was who He said He was. There are four accounts that are mostly cohesive with each other (though there are minor differences), written by people who either knew Jesus personally, or knew people who knew Him. I believe them. They were there.
I could go on. I have many reasons to believe as I do.

Over 200 prophesies that fit Him came true. He was asked if He was the son of God, and he said "i am he." Statistical research shows that the probability any other person fulfilling only 10 of those prophecies would be 1 in 1.0 times 10 to the 14th power... which is 1 with 14 zeros following it. Quite an impressive number. It's like filling the state of Texas with 4 feet of white marbles with only ONE red marble and randomly picking the red marble representing the Messiah. Sounds pretty hopeless for any one person being the Son of God.
The Trinity explains the whole idea of Jesus being 100% God and 100% human. It's a difficult concept to comprehend but our logic is limited. Who says human logic is perfect? Even the most atheist people believe we can reach a higher level of thinking, so ours right now can't be perfect... hence we can't comprehend EVERYTHING...
Now if you question the validity of the Bible...
The Old Testament was passed on through oral tradition. However, the way it was passed on was very efficient in keeping the story accurate. When one told the story, he had a good amount of people keeping him in check saying "yes this is what really happened." This is sociologically proven through ancient Hebrew writings on such processes. Accuracy of the stories are around 95% with variations involving minor details such as color or size. Nuances are basically trivial at best.
The New Testament was translated directly from written documents in Hebrew or Greek.
Both Testaments are now written in numerous translations because the ancient scripts were written using a vocabulary of about 16,000 words while modern English can directly translate the scripts into only about 5,000 English words. The different translations just give a different vocabulary but maintain the integrity of the message.

Are you by any chance Jewish.
By the sound of it you want scientific proof, which we can not give you. Believing Jesus was the son of God is based on faith. Faith is believing in something that you have no proof of. By the sounds of it you believe in god, which would have pointed me to two options, that you were either Jewish, or Muslim, but when you mentioned him being the best prophet turned me away from thinking muslim. Well, the Jewish faith is filled with many "ridiculous" sounding things as well that are faith based. So before you question us, question yourself.

The difference is that Jesus is alive and well today, and communes daily with those who follow Him in belief that He is the only begotten Son of God who became a perfect sacrifice for our sins (all have sinned and come short of God's glory, except Jesus), and who God raised from the dead. He is still working His miracles today. He was both God and man. He is God.
He lives in the hearts of those who ask Him to enter, and He speaks to His followers.
One thing you can also take a look at, is that there were hundreds of prophecies that were made about the Messiah who would come, in the Old Testament of the Bible, many many years before Jesus came to the earth. You need to read those prophecies (in the books from maybe Psalms through Malachi)... and then read the New Testament to begin to see how Jesus fulfilled them all (especialy the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John). There were specific qualities attributed to the Messiah in the prophecies, and He fulfilled them all.
Once you take an open-minded, honest, sincere look at the evidence... if you are seeking truth... you will find it in Jesus. I know this because I did not always believe Jesus was anyone special, in fact, I once thought him to be simply a dead prophet. But He is so much more. You don't have to take my word for it... but do research it and see for yourself. God bless you as you do seek Him. All my best to you. from a sister in Christ Jesus

Do you often believe that good people are also liars? Jesus said he was the son of God. You believe that he was a good man that did all this great stuff, but was lying when he said this. You are not making sense. You are believing what you want to believe, not what is the truth. You cannot believe in one half and not the other. You believe in his works, but not his teachings or the words that came out of his mouth. It is all or nothing.

The old testament testifies about the coming of an individual begotten from God, but not just come from God, but be God in Flesh. His name shall be called "Immanuel" which means "God is with Us."
Psalm 2:7 prophecies about Christ's coming
"I will surely tell of the decree of the LORD: He said to Me, 'You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.
The Old Testament also gave 300 prophecies about the coming messiah and gave specific signs signifying the Son of God. Here are a few:
1. Born of a virgin in Bethlehem.
2. Descendant of David from the Tribe of Judah
3. Miracles and healing: he would raise the dead, the blind would receive their sight and the deaf would hear, walk on water, and many more....
4. He would forgive us our sins.
5. He would be betrayed with 30 pieces of silver.
6. He would die on a cross
It's true that other prophets performed miracles, but they never claimed to be the Son of God as Jesus did, and Jesus fulfilled every prophecy made about him.
Jesus spoke of himself as God's only Son.
In John 3:16-17, Jesus is speaking to a Nicodemus, a religious, Jewish leader. Jesus tells Nicodemus that whoever believes in Him will have eternal life. "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it."
So the evidence is in.
1.There were signs and prophecies about Jesus, Jesus fulfilled them all.
2. John the Baptist, a prophet of God, identified Jesus and publicly acknowledged his deity. John 1:32-34, "When you see the Holy Spirit descending and resting upon someone, he is the one you are looking for. He is the one who baptizes with the Holy Spirit. I saw this happen to Jesus, so I testify that he is the Son of God."
3. There were eye witnesses of Jesus performing these miracles and forgiving people of their sin.
4. Jesus claimed to be the Son of God.
These reasons are why Christians believe in Jesus.
Based on the evidence, do you believe Jesus was telling the truth?

If you believe He is a good Human, one of the best prophets of God and He had done lot of miracles....
then you must believe that He is a son of God because He claims Himself as the son of God.........
He claims Himself as the Son of God...... If that is not true then He is not a true prophet... Right....If you believe Him as the true prophet and a good Human then Believe Him......... He died for your sins....
