I was married to a person that was 17 years older than myself and married for over 16 years. I wasn't afraid to approach him but now after giving all my younger years to him, I'd be careful who you approach regardless of how old they are. We ended divorced because he retired, became a full time drunk and had a severe gambling problem. Watch out for those who have addictions that are out of control. In the end, those additions become the person you select and then you get put on the back burner and just wait around, wasting your life, in hopes that they'll wake up. In the end, most don't, and you loose everything. Take care of yourself first always.

i was before and now we are together... still so much in love with each other.
at first yes, i got scared, same reason. but then i realized that nothing will happen if i dont put an effort on it. i tried my best to get her attention. i love poetry and i also write my own stuff then send it to her. through e-mail, sms, i even write (pen and paper) to her everyday.
if you are having problems in approaching the person then try other things to get noticed. try to get close to that person, be a friend not just a companion. soon you´ll get used to being with each other, relationship growing til next morning you´re gonna wake up, that person is already with you and has been a part of you already.
you´ll then realized that age difference is no big deal at all...

First of all you can't be in love with that person if you haven't approached them. Love is a two way street buddy. Now just get to know that person unless you are under the age of 18.

Yes Ive been in love w/ someone older but also w/ someone younger in my life time. Age is only in spirit , unless the health is bad!! 20 yrs is too much difference in maturity level!! Lifes experiences age is mostly a number!

its not the age difference that matters, its how you connect with the other person. if you let the age difference get in the way then thats a maturity issue, which means the younger person needs to grow up, literally lol

I have happily dated women who are older than me. I just got through dating someone who is 6 years my senior.
That being said, it depends on how much older than I am. If you are talking more than 8 years older, then I am not game for it. If you are old enough to be my mother, then forget it.
