NO. It speaks of Christ. A thorough study of Scripture will reveal this. Look at Jesus' own words in John 5:45-47...

45 Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you—Moses, in whom you trust. 46 For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me. 47 But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?”

Jesus is the Prophet Moses said would come who would be the Great Prophet from God. That is why Moses died and remained dead but Jesus rose from the grave, something neither Moses nor Muhammad did. Jesus is the only mediator between God and men and as He says "No one comes to the Father, but by Him.

In fact, Jesus was like Moses in a number of ways:
1)He was spared death as a baby[Exodus chapter 2;
Mathew 2:13-23]
2)He renounced a royal court[Phillipians 2:5-8;Hebrews
11:24-27]
3)He had compassion on his people[numbers 27:17;
Mathew 9:36]
4)He made intercession for the people[Deuteronomy 9:18;
Hebrews 7:25]
5)He spoke with God face to face[Exodus 34:29,30
2Corinthians 3:7]
6)He was the mediator of a covenant[Deuteronomy 29:1
Hebrews 8:6,7]
7)They both performed miracles

In case you think "the Prophet" in Deuteronomy chapter 18 is talking about Muhammad, let me give you some reasons why that couldn't be true.
1)The term "brethren" in Deut. 18:18 means fellow isrealites.
2)Since the term "brethren" refers to isreal and not to their arab antagonists,why would God raise up for isreal a prophet from their enemies?
3)Elsewhere in Deuteronomy the term brethren means isrealites not foreigners[Deut. 17:15]. Isreal never chose a non-jewish king.
4)Muhammad came from Ishmael, as even muslims admit, and heirs to the jewish throne came from Isaac.
5)The Koran itself states that the prophetic line came through Isaac not Ishmael[Sura 29:27].

NO. Mohammed fails the easiest of tests: HE WAS NOT A JEW. The Prophet Moses predicts would have to be a Jew to fulfill this prophecy.

This prophecy was fulfilled in small ways by every real prophet that came after Moses: they were all Jews, and they spoke to their people in the name of the Lord, and they all tried to give their people guidance in God's name.

The prophecy found full significance in Jesus Christ. His ministry more than completes Moses' words and work!

hello You concentration a lot on John's Gospel. yet you're intently choosing verses, save examining my buddy. You cite John 14:sixteen, yet with right here few verses it reads... "and that i visit ask the daddy, and he will provide you yet another recommend, who will in no way bypass away you. he's the Holy Spirit, who leads into all fact. the international can't get carry of him, via fact it isn’t finding for him and doesn’t know him. yet you recognize him, via fact he lives with you presently and later would be in you" The recommend replaced into already there, and could be interior the disciples later. he's clearly pointed out via JESUS via fact the Holy Spirit. am i able to ask you a query. Why could no longer a number of those prophecies you point out no longer be Joseph Smith (who based the Mormon Church)? He too claimed to be illiterate - his tale is somewhat similar to Mohammed's in many procedures. My answer is this: "...whether we or an angel from heaven ought to hold forth a gospel different than the only we preached to you, enable them to be below God’s curse! As we've already reported, so now I say returned: If all and sundry is preaching to you a gospel different than what you prevalent, enable them to be below God’s curse!" (Galatians a million:8-9, evaluate 2 Corinthians 11:4) Does Islam/Mormonism have a various gospel? particular. And the stakes ought to no longer be larger. examine out the NT intently. you will see it has no longer been replaced, so for you to ask - who replaced into good. Jesus OR Mohammed. they are in a position to't the two be good. The Koran says it confirms the Bible (Surah 2:89) yet in fact it contradicts it. could no longer God get it good the 1st time? i wish this enables :-)

Moses lived many centuries before Jesus or Mohammed lived. There could not have been any mention of Mohammed in any of the earlier books of the Bible.

Moses was to lead his people to the promised land.

In that same respect, Jesus leads his people to heaven.

Moses was in great agony while he was holding up his hands parting the red sea allowing the safe passage of his people.

In that respect, Jesus was in great agony as he died. His death for our sins allows our safe passage to heaven.

Moses taught his followers a great deal, as did Jesus.

no

18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.
