I am 21 years old and healthy. I know I am not pregnant. Within the last month my stomach has been grumbling very loud and very often. I keep getting a dull achy pain in my lower abdomen. Sometimes it is a sharp pain. I take Rolaids, ect but nothing is helping me. Sometimes I have light nausea. I take Tylenol and it wont help so I moved to Percocet and it helps for short periods of time. I am not addicted so I know thats not why my belly hurts. Can anyone help me? NO SMART REMARKS, I DONT HAVE TIME FOR IDIOTS PLEASE

You could have an ulcer or even more seriously a tumor. Ulcers don't really respond to over the counter meds. And pain relievers only add fuel to the fire because they can damage the lining of the stomach. You should probably see your doctor. Eating acidic foods, ingesting too much caffeine whether it's coffee or sodas also can create ulcers. It may be gallstones too. If the symptoms are worse after eating fried or greasy foods-that could be it. At any rate-make an appointment with your doctor-it could or could not be serious.

Because there are a couple of possibilities such as Acid Reflux (just using this as an example) I would recommend seeing your dr about this to see what they think could be going on.

It probably would not hurt to take something like Prilosec for a while, and see if that helps. If it's acid, that should help. But if it's a sharp pain, that could be something serious, and you should not ignore it. Please see a doctor about this!
