No, male cats have nipples too.

Once the kitten has reached about 5 months old, take him to a vet for neutering. Obviously they will check the sex for your first!

In the mean time, here are some diagrams to help you sex your kitten:

You may be able to see testicles under the tail if it's mail - just like a little furry lump. If the kitten's very young, you can tell by the spacing of the anus to the genitalia - close together in a female, wider in a male.

Sometime when you're playing you can check the other end for the appropriate equipment. We had a beautiful kitten we named Barbie because she seemed like such an airhead and later when we were playing with this kitten we noticed there was equipment in sight that Barbie shouldn't have. So now the cat is Victor/Victoria, better known as Vic. Still a bit of an airhead but a very beautiful and loving cat. An armful of purrs. Sometimes it is very hard to tell the sex of a kitten so you just need to wait. Don't worry about the nipples. They were there all the time.

We adopted a kitten at the shelter that hadn't been fixed yet. With the adoption fee we got a free vet exam at a local clinic. The first thing that the vet did was check for the gender. He said that a lot of the time, even at the shelters where they see hundreds of kittens, they mess up on labeling the gender. Take it to the vet. It should be receiving vaccinations anyhow to keep it healthy. Also, all mammals have nipples- gender doesn't matter in that matter. Females just have a productive use for those nipples.

All sexes have nipples so it could still be a boy.

It can be difficult to tell the difference in male and female kittens. They are sometimes described as the male looking like a : (colon) and the female looking like an upside down exclamation mark.

Usually there is a bigger space between the anus and genital area in a male kitten - the space where the testicles will grow. It may be possible to feel small testicles in male kittens.

No all sexes have nipples! same with people lol.
If you lift the kittens tail and look at the anal pasage directly below on a girlie kitten is another opening. If it's a boy theres a gap between the two ie. for when the testicles start to grow.

No, both genders of all mammals have nipples. Look for a round dot or hole in genitals....that's a male. Females have a slit.

Noooo, both sexes have nipples. My boy has 8 cute little pink nipples.

There is actually a species of monkey in with the father is the one that breastfeeds the babies.

Congradulations, it's a girl!!

Umm.....just to be 100% sure, lift her little tail, and if there are two holes, It's a GIRL !!

PS.... We had found a 3 month old kitty, and she was pretty hairy, so it took us a few mins to establish she was a "lady" kitty. lol

Enjoy!!
