Both absolutely devastating KO's but i would say that Tarvers was the more spectacular as it happened first and no one thought that Roy would ever eat a punch like that, Roy didnt know what day it was with that one.
As for devastating KO though i would go with Johnsons if i remember rightly Roy didnt get off the floor for ages, the punch that hit him didnt look that hard but it must have done something to his nervous system because he was out for ages. Roy didnt know what year it was with that one never lone what day.

Tarver's left hook will forever be etched in the annuls of boxing lore as the punch that took Roy Jones Jr. from the pinnacle of boxing's pound for pound best to ordinary in the blink of an eye.

The Glen Johnson's beat down of Roy should have been the last time Roy laced up the gloves. It was anti-climactic and brutal, I didn't like watching Roy take such abuse. No Knock on Johnson, but it was like the first time Ali lost. It just wasn't supposed to happen that way.

Call me sentimental, but Tarvers KO defined "spectacular". Johnson just overwhelmed a shot fighter.

Thumbs up to mowglieb, well said.

LOL at some of you morons. Yeah he was overrated despite the fact that he won the title in 4 weight classes and dominated Hopkins and Toney, yeah he was really overrated. Don't talk boxing if you know nothing, Roy was well past his prime when he fought Johnson and Tarver, a prime Roy would have mopped the floor with them. In his prime he was the most talented boxer maybe ever.

Anyways the answer has to be Tarver simply because noone thought it possible.

Both knockouts were devastating, but Tarver had the quicker KO. I think Tarver's knockout was more demeaning.

The Tarver KO was better. In Roy's fight versus Glenn he was still mentally fragile from his defeat against Tarver and the slightest "tap" to the head caused him to crumble. He took that fight to soon after being KO'd and was psychologically unprepared to take head shots in my opinion.

glen johnsons made him gurrgle his own spit and he had his arms froze in the air...tarvers was more shocking because it was thought to be impossable but glens made his brain pause for a min.
