well first off i dont think its possible to have a personal relationship with god (seeing how none of us REALLY know if it even exists.. we can BELIEVE it does.. but there is no physical proof of god) .. i think FAITH is important, not religion.
and no i dont think creationism is real.. at least not the way the bible portrays it.

I think it is more important to have a personal relationship with God than it is to just practice "religion". Creationism is real. God created us. Yes it will matter in the long run if you believe because it will determine you afterlife. Heaven or hell.

I would say a personal relationship with God. What God? Who cares. I do believe that there is a supreme being out there, but I choose to believe in one founded from love. In the end I believe the only thing this Being cares about is that you have loved and been loved, and the rest doesn't even matter. I believe in some form of creationism... when you really think about the THEORY of evolution and The Big Bang THEORY it is just as probable. They are all theories because they can't be proven one way or the other.

Personal relationship for sure! Like the good book says, a man can find God on an island all to himself. Lets face it, religion is not the practice of faith with people but a practice of faith by a person. In the long run, it is what you believe that will matter and not those beliefs of others. Only you can find God, no one will every find him/her for you.

My religion shows me how to have an individual relationship with my deities. For me, the two are intertwined.
I believe in both evolution and creationism and see no reason why it needs to be one or the other.
I feel that our beliefs matter because they make up who we are and how we see and react to the things around us. Everyone believes what they need to believe right now in order to grow. If there is an "ultimate truth", I don't feel that anyone would be able to comprehend it anyway. We can simply relate to that truth in the best way that we know how.

Religion is more important than a "personal relationship" with God - the Apostle James said as much. The Bible advocates the practice of Christianity as a religion - it says nothing of a personal relationship with God (beyond an ontological, energetic union with the transcendent Deity).

I think religion is important if it means going to a house of worship regularly. There, you meet decent people, get involved in good works, and think about what you're doing with your life. You become grateful of all the blessings you have in your life. Being in a community is important. I think that creationism is a story that we tell ourselves to explain things we can't really ever understand. I do think that what we believe matters in the long run because of how we act on those beliefs, for good or evil. I think that doing good is ultimately very important for the nourishment of our souls, whether we're rewarded for it or not.

Sorry if you take this the wrong way...but i don't think neither is best...I'm a Aithiest which means I don't believe in religion....Religions are only there to start wars thats all it is i hang round people that have different religion to me but they don't mind that I'm not like them....as I say you are what you are religion doesn't make up your personality...so if I had to pick one then go with the personal relationship with God =]

I believe in relationship, but the only way we can have a relationship with God is to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and you nurture it by prayer, reading and obeying the Bible, going to a Church that believes in the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and by doing your best to turn away from your sins.

Two questions?
Personal relationship with the Son of God is all important. This involves accepting Him as not only your Savior, but also your Lord ... that you surrender control of your life to.
If you don't believe that God created the universe, then I suppose it is possible to have saving faith, but it will tend to be a weak faith and you will be less likely to serve God with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind.
One Biblical definition of faith is believing that God created everything out of nothing. (Hebrews 11:3)
