It will happen if they start killing the hostages.
Even though much of the world doesn't want to support the war in Iraq, there is no question that they will stand behind any action that is taken against Iran. They have already committed an act of war by kidnapping those 15. To murder them would be begging to get the sh*t bombed out of them.
Britan will make the first strike, just to say that it was Britan that did it. Then the U.S. and France will add firepower to what Britan started. Remember, France is already there too with at least 1 aircraft carrier.

Yes, it would lead to a retaliation by the United Kingdom. Granted, the sailors were in Iran's territory and it is perfectly allowable for Iran to take them prisoner, but killing them for trespassing is against the Geneva Convention which Iran agreed upon. This would be the first act to lead to World War III because that would make Mahmoud Ahmadinejad a very unhappy man.

Very much so, and the US will be side-by-side. Iran has been involved in kidnappings, overthrowing of embassies, snubbing their noses at the rest of the international community for decades. Ahmadinejad is a pirate and an embarrassment to his own country. If Iran executes those Brits, Ahmadinejad better join bin Laden in whatever cave he's hiding in because he's going to soon join Saddam in the pits of hell.

No. there will be no point, no one wins in a war and America and Britian have no legtimate right to attack Iran and unless you want to be sleeping in the street, i suggest you pray that cooler heads prevail. Iran is the 2nd leading exporter of oil

as much as i'm against the whole mid east thing, i'd hate to see the brits take that on the chin and not retaliate.
