What KIND of cat? A very cute brown tabby cat with medium length fur, which looks like it is in severe need of petting. Judging from the shape of the head and length of the nose, it might be a straight-eared Scottish Fold. Can't see enough of the cat to tell what kind of tabby, though. Here are the kinds of tabbies: Mackerel (stripes like the bones of a fish), Classic (stripes are swirled in a bullseye pattern), Ticked (the hair shaft has a darker color on the ends), Spotted (spots but still has the "M" on the head and may have some stripes). Tabby is a color pattern and not a breed. The stripes around the neck are called "necklaces", the stripes around the legs are called "bracelets" and the spots on the tummy are called "buttons". Isn't this everything you never wanted to know about tabbies??

Aw, cute picture.
I don't think he's a purebreed - he has the collaring of a Norwegian Forest Cat (like a tabby Maine Coon) but not the ears, or really the musculature, so I would say Long/Medium haired domestic tabby, but perhaps with a hint of NFC/Maine Coon.
Manx? They come in all kinds of colours!

It's not likely any particular breed, so it would be considered a domestic medium hair brown tabby.

He's adorable! His coloring is Manx. He's got the longer hair around his neck like a Manx or a Maine Coon, but both these breeds generally have little tufts at the ends of their ears. Ya got me, but thanks for the cute pic!
