They have set the dates as full support ending in April of 2009, and extended support ending in April of 2014. Extended support is not quite as good as full support, but you still get security updates, and you can still get the pay support.

Just as a side not, people are overdramatizing Vista's downfalls, I use it and it works just fine for me. I sincerely think Snopes should devote an entire section to debunking Vista myths, there are so many out there.

I'm thinkin it will be there longer than support usually hangs with an op sys. I am bettin Vista is gonna have a long time ever getting a foothold! Too much security! I think Vista is trying to put the kibosh on P2P and I doubt that users are gonna like that at all!
