If you feel safe to meet with them, try sharing your faith one-on-one. People fear what they don't understand. Even if you don't convert them, you will have removed some of their ignorance.

You should also take the clipping to your religious leader(s). They should best be able to explain how to handle this situation.

Please don't let it make you cry, dear.

"Blessed are you when men hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man."

Luke 6:22

I'd presume it was posted by someone so sure in their own faith (or indeed lack of faith) that their heart aches because I do not share it. I would probably read it, just as I read the material that is offered to me by people who at least have the courage to knock on my door and talk to me about their faith. Would it upset me? Not at all - where I live (in London) there are people on every street corner preaching with megaphones, including many who tell me (specifically) that my belief (in no gods) means I am going straight to hell for eternity. If there is going to be religious freedom and freedom of thought - freedom for you to practice what you believe in, and me to think what I think - we can't stop others saying what they believe in or even, if they choose, to post information through our doors. How we deal with the information they give us is entirely up to us. Above all, as others have said, don't let it bother you.

I would totally freak out. I would get my rifles and Binoculars and set on the top of my house in clear view looking through my binoculars at my neighbors while I cleaned my weapons and my scope. And shine up all my bullets. If it was someone I knew I might take a couple of warning shots.

Just throw it away. If the person did it as a mean-spirited joke, pray/hope that they will grow up and find that treating people like that is wrong.

Also, if you know who it is, don't start preaching to them about how they're wrong. It'll only give them more fodder to tease you. The most important weapon you have is forgiveness. In fact, it'll baffle them if you don't let it bother you.

Expand your mind and see what exactly they mean and for God's sake grow a thicker skin. People are too sensitive these days. Now if it was a Islam thing coming near my door, the neighbor would have a huge problem on their hands, But thats just me. Jesus is King.

Yet another excuse to make a paper airplane instead of doing something constructive. ;)

ETA: If this is not a hypothetical question and it's someone you know, that could well be harrassment. Have you tried talking with them? It isn't right for them to humiliate you, anyway.

I would get on my knees and pray that our creator, God almighty, has led them to the religion of their choice and that you pray for the touching of his heart that will enable him to see with his heart what his eyes and mind deprive him of. Don't cry for the things he does for he knows no better, cry for the good things he misses as a result of his distance from the Creator's salvation and the his knowledge of the peace that is waiting for his tormented being once he cannot in his blindness.

..."if" you belief system is so fragile as to be "challenged" by a "news-paper" article... I'd be worried too !!! ...My Faith is built on Solid Rock... time tested and proven...challenged for over 2000 years and still the "scoffers", "unbelievers",
"cult's" and pseudo theologians, A-theists, agnostics and the rest can't dissuade me from my relationship with God... Read Romans...Chapter 1 vs.16 !!!!! (use the newspaper article to line the bottom of your bird-cage).

Use it as lining for the bottom of my parrot's cage.

Someone you know eh? That's changes things a bit, I would still dispose of it regardless but if I knew the person and knew that they did it to hurt me I would confront them about it.
