The oldest got sick first, but within 24 hours, the other two had it. It started with them vomiting foam. They won't eat or drink, although, I have been force feeding water and Gatoraid with a small syringe. All the do is sleep. They don't have a problem urinating. The bm's are from normal to pure water and light green. Temperatures have run from 100.9 to 101.7 degrees. Please help. The smallest is the weakest and going down fast. I have 5 full grown dogs that don't seem to be sick. Thankyou, Vicki

Their temps are normal, but if they aren't eating or drinking, they are not gonna do too well for too much longer. You really need to go to the vet. It sounds like they may have a disease called parvo but that may not be the case. Are they vaccinated?

They are gonna need IV fluids and things that you can't do at home by yourself. The doctor is gonna probably want to run a parvo test and maybe some bloodwork. If you don't go now, their prognosis (chances) will get worse.

If your child was vomiting and such would you go to Yahoo and ask for answers?? NO you would take them to a doctor.. Take the poor things to a vet and get them help. That is always the first place you should look for help.

And for a general rule never force feed an animal that is sick unless you know what is wrong with them already. Many issues that can arise requires no food or water to be given for a period of time. Doing so can increase the damage and problems associated with such.

GO TO VET PEOPLE!

Sounds like Parvo. They are probably got it at the same time. Their is a 10 day period for them to carry it. They can get it from anywhere,. Mine got it off someone coming in my house and they had it on their shoes. The pups are probably the only ones you have to worry about because the older ones immune system is stronger. My pup pie got it but my older dogs did not. He tried to drink but couldn't, was very weak and vomiting. Clear runs then after another day turned to blood,. ToOK it to the Vet and he is ok .but they kept him for 3 days on IV's and antibiotics. That is good about the fluids you are giving them but they need a lot more then that. His fever was almost to 104 when I got him in. Please contact your Vet asap please, then they can have you bring them all in or even one to see if that is what it is. Mine was really weak to, All of the sudden he quit playing, eating, drinking and looked so sad. I'm sorry your little guys are sick. Good Luck

Hi Vicki,
The first thing to do is to stop force feeding them especially if they are vomiting right after doing so as they will dehydrate quickly. Next, call your veterinarian to see if they have a veterinarian on call to speak with and ideally get the sick ones in to see him or her ASAP!
Best of luck

What do you think you're doing? Get to a vet now!

I can't believe people who try to treat animals themselves - are you a member of the medical profession? Clearly not or you wouldn't be trying to force feed dogs who can't keep food down!

I'm sure you don't appreciate people nagging at you like this, but SOMEONE has to make you realise how daft you're being!

Take them to the vet. Did they have Parvo vaccinations? Did they eat the toxic gravy and cuts type dog food? It seems like you have too many dogs to take care of them all properly. One problem when you have more than one, is that one sick dog will make other dogs sick, especially the old and the young. Multiple animal homes need their animals vaccinated.

Take them to the vet NOW. Do not force water into them, you can risk aspiration pneumonia; not knowing what's wrong is not going to help. If they aren't eating, they will become hypoglycemic leading to all sorts of problems. The dehydration from the diarrhea is bad enough, combined with inappetence, etc. their lives are at risk.

parvo will produce a foul smelling bloody diarrhea...it will stay in the ground for up to a year, and can be tracked from yard to yard. pancreaitis could be a problem...needs a vet asap. also distemper

It sounds like parvo, but maybe not. Did they get into anti-freeze maybe because it also sounds like it could be that if they didn't get very much.
