Standing outside school gates deep in conversation with other parent. Grade 6 boys begs to hold puppy I go inside school gates to get my 5 yr old son. Female principal has is dragging the puppy and telling me off and said,"in my office now". I told her not to drag the puppy by neck. What would you do. I have a son in the school like the school and teachers. I told her I was not one of her students. No point writing a letter to her. Lots of kids and parents. How would you handle it?

The very next day a mother brought her meduim sized dog to school in the middle of the playground and was walking him up and down the principal did not show her face and was in her office. I pointed out to the vice principal there is a dog on the school grounds and she just pulled a face because I picked her up on that. They did me a favour.

first i'd get my dog and then i'd tell her off. what was her gripe? that you brought the puppy to school or that someone got to hold it? no way would i follow her to her office. she had no right to act in that manner. lots of people bring their dogs to pick up their kids. they love it. i'd contact her boss and let them know what she did. did you find out what her problem was anyway?

I would go straight to the school board. They will treat you good because they are constantly in fear of getting funding taken away. Make it known that you expect an apology from this woman for humiliating you and making you seem like a child in front of your own child. Give them all of the details as you know them and tell them you are considering taking your child out of the school and notifying the local paper or news. Even if you have no such intention of doing these things, you are sure to get an apology out of it.
Good Luck!

Animal abuse in front of students? what a fine example she was setting for her students. Teachers, Principals etc., sometimes get to thinking they're pretty big stuff. I would put my child in a different school and tell the principal to go pound sand.

i would have stared at her and waited for her to get finished talking and then went on about my business... and then when she called on you again, I would have said "No, you werent talking to me like that... " lol. who does she think she is, high and mighty? i would not even have allowed her to speak to my dog like that, let alone myself... " I must be mixed up, because I have given you no reason to speak like that to me so you must have been speaking to someone else... " I would have said something along those lines and then turned and walked in her opposite direction... lol, you got every right to be miffed about this...

sounds like she overeacted. best to be calm and staight forward. Apologize for the dog, maybe it peed or pooped or something? in any case, be the calm and in control one.
