It has become a habit. Psychologists say that if you do something for 21 days it becomes a habit. So turn it around, force yourself to stop biting them for 3 weeks, and you will be well on your way to cured. Do not use caustic or unhealthy chemicals on your skin, or anywhere you might get them in your mouth. If you want to put something on your nails to help you out, use a strong pepper sauce.

In my family, some of us start as soon as we cut teeth, my mom, myself and my daughter. Try to find a different activity to redirect yourself to when you feel like starting to bite or catch yourself doing it. It can be given up.

its an addiction... try bleach or ammonia on ur fingertips for a while.. taste makes you conscious of what your doing.. and it also makes u not want to do it
