Highlight that cell.
Go to FORMAT menu -> CELLS
ALIGNMENT tab.
Select WRAP TEXT.

Or after a word type ALT + ENTER.

I could keep data with line breaks in a single cell in Excel by pasting the data in the formula bar . The line breaks happlily come into the same cell and you have a multiline text in one cell.
Also pressing ALT+Enter in a cell inserts a line break inside the cell .

Right click on the cell, click on format cells, select the alignment tab and click wrap text option then click ok.

i don't remember exactly what tab, might be Edit, that you look for Text wrap, it will automatically go to the other line, within the same cell.

Say you have above data in A1:B2. Try this formula. =INDEX($A$1:$B$2,IF (MOD(ROW(A1),2)=0,2,MOD (ROW(A1),2)),INT((ROW(A1)-1)/2)+1) Depending on how many rows & columns you have, you might have to change the formula a little. Add details if you need more info.
