In the real world, we should note that the religious clerics within the Iranian upper echelon have the Lone Ranger and Tonto mentality. This mentality is passed on to the Iranian Republican Guards. The brain-wash techniques within the Iranian Army are of the dark ages, prompted by the Christian Crusaders of yore. The Christians, who were Catholics, enjoyed ravaging the Persian women.
The Qur'an, a tool; of the Devil, was written by a boozer like the Osama. As you know, Mohammad crawled up into the mountains to rape a Christian Child. That is when the Angel Gabriel slapped him silly, causing him to write the Satanic Verses. Now the British are at the mercy of heathen Iranian peoples; those same heathens cut off the hands of a seven year old boy for swiping a piece of cherry candy. (This has been documented.) Of course the climb towards Islamic Fundamentalism is tough. It was paved by the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, an avid reader of Mein Kampf', the Hitler Bible. Since the Qur'an and Mein Kamph were so closely related, the Iranians took on a heathen persona, resembling the thoughtless Neanderthal man.
Modern science says the Angel Gabriel may not have been there and says a buzzard dropped mess on Mohammad's head, causing a chemical intoxication poison that combined with the booze he was drinking. This caused his mental illness. So, God never met with Mohammad; it was probably Satan.

They are truly "pirates" and international terrorists. They have proven that over and over again.
The letter by this British female soldier, and her statement was obviously coerced. She had a expressionless stare, as if she were resisting the words she was being forced to speak. I've seen this before when the soldiers/pilots who were captured and tortured in Vietnam were forced to make verbal "confessions". They would intentionally look robotic so that intelligence personnel could see that they had been coerced. And it proved later that was true. I see no difference in this womans statement, it is the same thing.
I seriously doubt that Iran will appear to be "giants", but to the Muslim world, they will have their day in the sun, and appear to be standing up to the "Great Satan's" of the West.
Unless the West becomes tough with them, this chirade is going to continue and these soldiers are going to suffer some more. It's time to sabre rattle with these Muslim radicals, and stop the pandering.
This recent event surely proves what I have been saying all along....... Islam is a religion of terrorists, not the "peaceful" religion you hear in todays media propaganda.

What do you think about foreign hegemony of Persian natural resources? You can trace the hostitlity of Iran all the way back to the 1950s. On August 19, 1953, elements of the Iranian army acting on orders from the Shah and with covert support from the C.I.A., deposed Mohammed Mossadegh as the Prime Minister of Iran (Operation Ajax). Mossadegh’s overthrow climaxed more than two years of crisis caused by Iran’s clash with Great Britain over the nationalization of the British owned Anglo-Iranian Oil company. Not to mention countless rights given to foriegn corporations in return for money to aid the luxurous life styles of the Shas. This overthrow resulted in Reza Sha being appointed prime minister (pro-american). Shortly after that America beings arms sales, which eventually lead Iran to extreme poverty, and finally to revolution in which an Islamic Republic is now in place (not to mention a war between Iraq, which was at the time supplied by American arms). Countless witnesses from top ranking former Iraqi generals are a testament of biological weapons supplied by the United States to aid the Iraqi Army against the Iranians.
You call this honorable? Ruthless? Modern day Iran is the result of American and British hegemony. What we are experiencing today is what the CIA call blowback, side effects of covert overseas operations. Did you know we are the largest exporter of arms in the world? If we are not selling them we are handing it down to our "enemies enemy." You call this honorable?
Did you know it was the great Persian King Cyrus who set fourth a precedent of religious tolerance? As he conquered people by people he did not force a religious change, he infact did not change their laws, nor their social structure. This leniency was unseen in the ancient world and set an example for many other civilizations to follow. The movie is blatantly false, biased, it is just for enterainment value. In fact there were 70,000 other Greeks along with the 300 Spartans in that fight. In actuality at the height of the Persian Empire ,many scholars and historians, compare that time to the Italian renaissance ( a sort of ancient renaissance).
Muscle Bear - I read some of your responses mostly your "best answers" and Im just shocked. Not only shocked at your deluded understanding of science, religion, and history but the amount of people that support your answers. Please for the sake of these kids on this site cancel your account and enroll yourself in an adult school, community college, etc. You are a bigot, liar, uneducated, and should not be allowed to spread false information which has so much hate attached to it. By the way Christ is the most quoted prophet in the Quran.

What I don't understand is the order by the British Ministry of Defense to H.M.S. Cornwall to hold their fire as the Iranians were taking the British sailors and marines under arrest.
The British would have been justified in defending their own. Had I been commanding officer of Cornwall I might well have ignored that order. (But I wouldn't have remained commanding officer very long after that, I realize.)

It was on the news tonight that the Iranians were considering charging the British Sailors with espionage.. that's the death penalty in Iran. Plus they have changed their mind on letting the female go..This is going to get messy.

It is too difficult to place into words exactly how I feel about this subject. My hatred of Iran escalates every time I hear about it. I just wish I were young enough to go and kill them all and release the HOSTAGES that they kidnapped. To act the way they are acting and to try to defend what they do, is only to gain support of anyone crazy enough to believe them. Sadly enough, they will find crazies to believe them. I only wish!!!!!!!!!!
