Well, PERSONALLY..(and this is only my opinion. I don't pass judgement on people who think differently about it)..I would never get one. Maybe at some point in life I'd wanted to get a little one like a small star on my wrist or something like that. I don't judge people who have them. I may take it into consideration when I'm hiring people but in every day life, I don't. Usually when I notice someone's tattoos I kind of think about what maybe inspired them to get it. Sometimes I ask. Basically, what I'm saying is..if you feel passionately about what youre getting imprinted on your body permanently and have no doubts or don't think you'll have any regrets about getting it..then I say go for it.(well, youve already made up your mind to get it so..i guess theres no going back) If you feel it will have no impact on your current self-image then..thats all that matters. It would be something interesting to show your kids/grandkids someday, eh?
So..yeah...I guess it could be worse.

I think it really depends on what the tattoo is, and where it is, and how many other tattoos the person has. One, or a few, can be very attractive if they are nicely done and in tasteful places.
Big, convoluted, shocking or trashy tattoos all over someone's body can make them look very unattractive and lower people's impression of them.
I love tattoos that are unique or meaningful or artistic. I could live without biker tattoos, prison tattoos, skulls and flames, or things like bugs bunny or advertising slogans.

if you plan on being in an office type professional job or career, it's inadvisable to get a tat. In addition, if you are ever suspected of a crime the police come down hard on people with tats. But all in all once a person becomes professional they get their tats removed, and that's a lot more expensive than getting one in the first place. The colored ones are the most difficult to remove. I've seen on tv that the lower back tat brands you as a slut. Anyway, tats to me are a big turnoff.

I'm not attracted to girls with tattoos. Tattoos and piercings on places besides the ears and/or belly button are a turn-off to me.

Depends on the person and one the tatoo itself. I personally think they can look great on someone young, but what happens when the person grows old? For me its not a turn-on, can be a turn-off (the colored & huge ones particularly) and if David Beckham looks great with all his tatoos now, I'm not sure he will at 65...

Depends on the person.
I don't really prefer tattoos but maybe one on your back or arm isn't so bad.
