Summer will be hot. Base on that, I figure a water sport is a most. You may want some thrill in the sport too. I will suggest the personal watercraft racing for a cool sport.

If pwc racing is too complicated for you, just try riding a recreational stand up jet ski. In the beggining it will require swimming a lot and getting in top physical shape, but you'll be having a really good time. I did that last year and loved it!

For me, an old Senior Citizen, it is street legal dirt motorcycle rides from seashore to sub-alpine forest. karst exploration
and trail construction from ridgetop to valley pasture below.

Kayaking will explore tidal marshes of river delta, land on a island designated Federal Wilderness, and visit another to camp at beach intended for kayakers only. I'll watch the Orca
snort past like steam locomotives, hear American Bald Eagles scream, and fish for shark. Beach combing is good.

I'll dig at old ruins sifting soil through wire screen looking for
Gold Rush Era artifacts (previously found coins, brass lamp,
& pistol). I'm also doing granite sculpture using 2 lb. sledge
and hand chisels; I like to carve huge protruding eyeballs.

This is my home and weekday recreation year-around so on
August vacations I go to exotic places; Utah, for example.
Like I said, I'm old, and don't do things younger folks might.
