Why is it important for you to understand evolution with respect to genetic variation, genes, and DNA?
Why are scientists concerned with genetic variations of various species?

Evolution, genetcs etc are useful in discovering new therapies to diseases.
Like any measure which reduces blood glucose can precipitate or aggravate Bronchial Asthma (low carbohydrate diet,physical exercise,Aspirin)
And any therapy which relieves Brnchial Asthma aggravates Diabetes or increases blood glucose(methyl xanthines, adrenergic drugs, hormones like corticosteroids etc)
