Not been indifferent, then where has he been for the last 2000 years. The Jewish people may have a beef with that comment during Hitlers reign!!!

Will anyone answer without a blanket statement that god is perfect. At least use a little thought... Isnt that what God would have wanted?

“Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve the homage of reason than that of blindfolded fear”

wolfie, if you are so privy to such a dialog, then why aren’t you more successful?

Look God is considered our Sheppard, right? If a real Sheppard left his flock for 20 days, he would have been fired!

I get a little leery of a book that says everything is my fault just because I am a man. Doesn't God take some responsibility for messing things up?

The sins of god. Interesting concept. Perhaps one of his greatest sins is that he is responsible for millions of abortions every year. He is "The Great Abortionist."

Consider this: Approximately 30 percent of all human conceptions result in a spontaneous abortion (miscarriage). If the conceptions were "miracles of god", then god made an imperfect embryo, which could not survive, even in the womb, and resulted in the miscarriage, which he, being god, knew would happen even before the conception. So why did the conception happen in the first place? So that he could have the fun of aborting it?

Perhaps his even bigger sin is to not abort abnormal embryos in the first trimester, and instead let them live into the second or third trimester--- only to cause an "intrauterine fetal demise" (stillbirth). How sick is that?

An even bigger sin than that would be that he made babies who could survive the gestation, only to die shortly after birth, as in Trisomy 13, for instance. (see examples here: http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=trisomy+13&btnG=Search+Images&gbv=2)
Does that make him a masochist? Isn't that a sin?

I am an ultrasound technician specializing in OB/GYN at a major women's hospital. I hear people comment on the "miracle" of conception all the time. And I've also heard people comment on bad things being "god's will." Yet I have never heard anyone "blame" god for his creation or credited him for the death/murder.

What sins? An omnipotent god causing suffering is a sin in my book.

As Al Pacino said in The Devils' Advocate, "you worship THAT?"

Indifference is a sin only if it means one could have made a difference. Did you ever consider that god on Earth is the "collective consciousness" of humanity; if so then god puts self above what is best for the whole........Its our choice, not the choice of a god.

I know you were being rhetorical in your question to blame the mess of this world on a god instead of blaming it on the choices of humanity.......When individual humans no longer see self as being separate (ego) from every other self in this world, that is what will make the difference.

I think you confuse patience with indifference. Just because God hasn't dropped a piano on your head, doesn't mean that He isn't conscious of your sin. One day, we will all stand before God and then we'll each have a chance to see how "indifferent" God was toward our actions.

Where has God been for 2000 years? If God materialized at your dinner table, first of all, it would scare the hell out of you, literally and figuratively. When you recovered your senses, you would suddenly be a believer. No further discussion necessary. On the contrary, God gives us free will to choose him, or to choose his enemy, Satan. God reaches out to every one of us, and calls to us in love and truth. The love of the Father pours out of every page of the Bible, whether it is expressed in discipline or in blessings, in warnings or in promises. (Have loving parents ever spanked their child for the child's own good? Did the child like it or resent it?) Satan, on the other hand, hates God and all that God has created. Satan beguiles us with lies, and his ultimate aim is our destruction. He knows ALL the tricks. He knows our every weakness. Yet he cannot force us to do evil, any more than God will force us to do good. Every step of the way - it's our own individual decision. When people first come to know the Lord, many of them break down in hysterical weeping because they are hit with the devastating realization that God has loved them all along, no matter what the situation has been, yet they have cursed God and rejected him and embraced Satan and all his evil ways. When you realize the price that Jesus paid to make eternal life available to us free for the asking, your only genuine response is eternal gratitude. Where has God been for 2000 years? He's been waiting patiently for YOU to accept him! If you die in the grip of Satan, your fate is sealed. But with your dying breath, you can hand your immortal soul over to Jesus. There are only two choices - and the default is Satan!

I don't know about you and your 'relationship' with Yahweh (God). But as far as I am concerned, Yahweh is involved in situations everyday; all over this world. Maybe it is because I have faith and trust in Him as the Author and Finisher of all life? And I have full confidence in His Almighty Word (the Bible).

The sins, that us mere mortal humans can and do commit against Him are the same as they were when men first wrote them down; in a book we call the Bible. Regardless of our personal 'opinions' of Him, His Son, or His Holy Word. He will Judge all people according to His Almighty, Powerful, and Just Standards; not ours.

God has not turned his back on us , it is we who have turned our backs on him. What good is your super brain and all it's knowledge if you lack the knowledge to save your own soul. Pride goeth before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall.

Has he really been? Hm. That's interesting. I seem to be able to talk to him any time I want. But is he really indifferent? Of course not. Because I get answers in return.
