A gift? I would have to say... If the breakup is as smooth as you are saying it is..Don't buy a gift.. this just makes it harder everytime you see this gift. I think what is better, the two go hang out on the town for one good time. whether you guys decide to catch a show, go to a game, do some outdoor activity. I think this is the best present you can give anyone..the present of great memories when they were with you.

When you word it that way - "break up present" - it sounds rather odd. If you want him to remember you, try writing him a nice long letter; maybe you can bring up some of the good times you two have had together.

i dont understand --- if he wants to remember you he will -- a present will not make any difference --- hug him or a kiss on the cheek will show that there are no hard feelings

Don't give him anything. You're breaking up. If you're still friends, that's enough.
