as well as shutting off/disabling any machinery or device (no kinetic, additional potential, thermal, EM, radiation, sound, friction, blah, blah, blah)...what would the resultant temperature be?

Can we slow down Global Warming (if you believe in it)? Would the icecaps reform instead of an average temp drop throughout the planet's surface?

If the final temp difference was large enough, would it be possible to alter the global climate, making crops in certain areas die, leading to mass starvation, ruining economies and trade...and eventually extinction of mankind?

Assuming the core temp of the earth acts as a constant, would the sun's energy alone (heat and other radiation) be great enough to keep the earth from cooling down too much?

Lastly, if all life on earth was gone in an instant, would the earth revert into an ice age?

Neither likely, nor possible. The latent heat left over would take years to dissipate. No one would wait that long to find out.

no....global temperature is regulated by the sun and sunspots...none of this would make any difference.
