The first step is to become friends with some guys. If you don't want to date the nerds at your school then you can do some after school activities that will give you a chance to meet guys from other schools, but it will be easier to start dating the guys in your school.

Once you make friends with some guys, try to figure out which ones of them you want to go out with. Start talking to him more and laughing at his jokes and smiling at him, etc. He will probably ask you out. If not then he may not be interested or he might just be too shy.

Don't get your heart set on just one guy at first. It's extremely likely that you won't date the first guy you date for more than a few months. This is just a learning time for dating, just like you learn to skate or drive or whatever.

You could try online dating, but you would have to be very careful. There are a lot of weirdos out there, but I haven't experienced any really bad ones myself in the way of meeting people online. It would help you if you are too shy to approach people for a date and help you find out what you have in common and if you are even interested possibly before you ever meet up. The conversation thing is just learned w/practice if it doesn't come natural. Usually after you are on a date for a little bit, it will be more comfortable.

Hello Darling,
I know exactly how you feel. Well I would say if you where over the age of 20 to go on one of those 5 minute date things they hold. You talk to a guy for acouple mins and you go to the next one, then you pick your favourite! However, you can't do that.. So how about just going where guys go, try the movies, walk by skate parks, I'm sure you'd get acouple guys whistling at you there :) Just open your eyes darlin, and you'll find some.
Good Luck!!

You should start by learning to be comfortable with yourself. This is probably the most difficult thing you can ever do...but once you learn to love and accept yourself, as you are, without judgment, then you can find comfort with yourself and others will come to you. What to talk about? Anything. You can always begin by asking questions. Most people like to talk about themselves so ask about the other person. What does he do, where, how, why? His family? His dreams, ambitions, hobbies, sports, music, entertainment. Once you begin you'll find conversation comes easy. It is helpful if you can learn to listen, truly listen. And, if you focus on what he is saying and respond to what he is saying rather than think of something you want to share while he is talking. Wait your turn. If he introduces a subject, help him finish the subject before bringing up something else. That helps.

Well, I would suggest that you just be yourself! Start by talking with your friends and getting to know people - that is really all dating is... except it is usually with one special person. When you are more comfortable, you can start hanging out in smaller groups, or maybe even just the two of you. Go at your own pace - what you BOTH feel comfortable with. Never get pressured into anything... and I mean "anything" (big or small). If that happens, you know this person isn't right for you.

Remember... Have Fun!!!

Good Luck!!! :-)

Well the best way is to first make friends. Perhaps you can have a party at your house with your parents as chaperones. Invite both girls and boys. Make sure that other parents feel safe and secure with this party.
Join clubs at your school. Do volunteer work. Start a club for people your age at school etc. Get permission as needed to start club. Go to public events for people in your age group with the same interests as you.
