resistnzisfutl pretty much nailed it:
popcorn is naturally high in fiber, low in calories, contains no sodium, and is sugar and fat free.
so is it healthy for you?
it has a lot of fiber-thats good
low in calories-thats good
no other real nutritional value-thats neutral
of course this is considering just plain popcorn, when you add butter and salt to it then its not so great for you.
i suggest getting an airpopper which pops the popcorn without all that fattening oil, then if you must add a lil seasoning to flavor.
with the extra seasoning, salt/butter aside popcorn would be one of the healthier snacks to eat.

Popcorn by itself is ok for you. Aside from having a decent level of fiber, there's really not much nutritional value otherwise, but by itself it's a pretty decent snack.
However, it's when you start putting salt, butter, or sugary products on it that it turns bad. Also, if it's cooked in oil that's not so great either. Unfortunately, plain air popcorn is pretty boring to most people.
A healthier popcorn that has reduced fat and salt is better than, say, candy, chips or other fried or sugary foods.
