Actually I hate to burst anybodies bubble BUT there is a way to tell the difference between male and female chicks.
Its not easy thats for sure BUT there is a way the feathers grow around the vent (where the poopies come out for all who don't know). There is an arrangement of how the feathers grow for male and female, any good farmer could help-- or get a book out of the library. one I can suggest that is excellent is Raising Poultry the Modern Way -Leonard S. Mercia. Some people are very accurate with this method up to 95% accuracy with lots of experience. You should actually be able to tell now or at least in a few days by hold each in your palm, head between thumb and forefinger and by with a dampened with lube or vaseline finger push the little "feathers" aside where you think a penis or vagina would be....because yes they have them to. And you should be able to make out a small penis (it looks like a regular penis just tiny) or a what I always figured looked like a clitoris, there is a difference penis is pointy, vagina is more like a swelling. Trained people can do this at a day...so I'm to assume you didn't get day-olds yours are probably at least a week...starts getting much much easier. As they get even older its even easier as they start growing long tail feathers (male) and combs and waddles are much larger on a male then a female if she has them at all not to mention colours start coming in, and usually male are some what more colourful.
Kind of hard to describe on here. You could perhaps goggle "sexing day old chicks" you'll probably come up with something.
Good Luck!!! Hope I have been of service

Hi there. Many bird offspring are called chicks. Here is an article related to sexing chickens. It isn't an easy task.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicken_sexing Time of course will tell. Have a great weekend.

You will probably be able to tell at about 5 or 6 weeks old, waiting is the easiest way for the amateur.

Not without a DNA test and by the time you got the results, the chicken would be old enough for you to tell.

The male chicks have deeper voices and an adam's apple. If you weren't clued in by those, then there's one other way to tell, and it's not an experience you tell your friends about.

Most birds you cannot tell male or female unless they are diffrent colors witch doesn't happen until they get their grown-up feathers. They do DNA blood tests it's called Sexing your birds.....tehe

That is the reason poultry farms hire chicken sexers:

You cannot tell until they grown up.
