We pray for all our government officials every week at work. I always pray for democrats and republicans alike that God would make them wise, courageous, and make them people of integrity. I think it is our responsibility to hold our leaders and our country up in prayer. I always shudder when I think about the passage in Ezekiel 22:30 where God says he looked for one person to stand in the gap for the nation and found no one.

only the lost souls waste time praying ,the is the way of lost that are never found that have lost the way some where along the way lost life and give up the ghost that was a light within them living in darkness .

There's actually a prayer in some Jewish prayer books for the country and Her Government. Many don't say it in synagogue itself, but many say it privately.
