why is it men claim that women are either controlling, trying to trap them, or sluts and women claim men are cheating dogs who can't seem to commit, or don't respect any woman that didn't give birth to them? will the general population ever grow out of this crisis of gender stereotyping and realize that breasts or a penis don't automatically say who you are inside?

Most stereotypes are based on some underlying truth, it's just that people don't understand that a stereotype might tell you what several people in a group of might do, they don't do a good job of telling you what individuals will do.

Think about this. Wouldn't you think that most guys that you see that are 6'8" tall would be good basketball players. Everyone has some types of stereotypes.

Secondly, I don't think that even half of the people believe in the stereotypes that you put forth.

And no, in general the public will never grow out of stereotyping.

I assume that because of the way that you ask the question that you feel that you have been stereotyped. Why don't you post a question specific to that type of stereotyping.

It's because those stereotypes are mostly true. At least most people hear about them all the time every day, so they go ahead and act those ways. most people are followers and simply do as they are told.
