If there is a god, I don't think he forgives people for murder, even if they really are sorry.

If you repent ( Agree with God that is it wrong, and turn from it. ) He will forgive you for anything. If a person denies God and remains an unbeliever, then naturally what help can they expect from God? It's not that He is unwilling to forgive, it is the fact that the unbeliever is unwilling to believe. In that case they seal their own fate, it's not God doing it for them.
If you repent and ask forgiveness, God is there to accept you back a forgiven person. It is called, "grace". Grace means that God gives you mercy and forgiveness that we don't deserve. But He gives it anyway, because He loves us. It's a gift, all you have to do is accept.
Hope this helps you.

Yes & No. God will forgive all sins if you repent &
believe in Jesus Christ. But it's not as simple as you think. After you have repented & follow Jesus,
you are supposed to sin no more! How many Christians actually achieve that?
It is also written in the Bible in the Lord's prayer :-
"Forgive us as we forgive those who sin against us" Again, how many of us can forgive like that?
In the book of James, it is also mentioned for those who have seeked the Lord & still continue
to sin will not find the Lord's sacrifice for their sins
but judgement from the Almighty God. What do you expect when humankind make a mockery out of His Son's sacrifice ?
Jesus also said; anything said against the Son of Man can be forgiven but blasphemy against the
Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven.

Yes, but please read my response. I am a Christian and if you are as well there are many important things to realize when asking a question like this. I asked myself this same question when I was younger, and if I didn't have someone tell me everything, I wouldn't have understood.
Simply put the answer to your question is yes. The reason though is a little more complex. For starters, in God's eyes all sin is equal. This means that murder=lust=lying=gossip. Now our societies and people in general place levels on sin because we are human and are not capable of fairly judging each other (like God does). We may think that a fair playing field for sin is crazy, but thats because it is beyond our understanding.
Anyway, according to Christian beliefs, God sent his son Jesus to die for all sins of man. They also say that we must genuinely ask for him to come into our lives and wash the sin away.
One important thing the Bible says about sin, is that it is separate from you, meaning that we all sin, but it is not our souls that sin. It is because of this that we are meant to forgive ourselves and others that sin. But since God did send his son to die for us, he would appreciate it if we did try not to. The Bible also states that through Jesus Christ we can do anything which means resist any form of sin! We cannot conquer sin ourselves, we must hand the burden to Jesus, and only then can we be free of it.
Hopefully that answers your question and provides some reasoning to it as well. If it wasn't so late I would say more, but I'm so tired, lol. Take care and God bless!

God loves us all and forgives us no matter what we do wrong in life. But you do need to ask god for forgiveness and you need to forgive others as well.

I believe he does, as long as you feel truely sorry for it in the end (this doesn't necessarily mean at the end of their life, I think people have a chance to redeem themselves whenever they are ready)... People are stupid sometimes and let other things influence them, I would like to think that God would realize that... As long as a person learns and understands the full effect of what they have done wrong and find themselves truely sorry for it, I don't see why God shouldnt'/wouldn't forgive them.

Read 1John:9. Jesus forgives everything if we repent and are willing to change. But if you continue with the same sin over and over, knowingly and willingly, then you are not truly repentant and The Lord knows your heart. If you turn to Jesus, ask Him into your heart, repent and allow Him to be the Master of your life, then He will forgive your past. If the enemy (satan) tries to plant seeds of doubt and guilt after The Lord has forgiven you, then remind satan of his future (in the lake of eternal fire)!!

yes, the proof of this is when God gave His only begotten Son, Jesus, to be a lamb of offering for our sins. if you have seen the movie "the passion of the Christ", that's how brutally Jesus suffered for our sins. He can choose not to undergo that but He chose to obey His father because He saw you and me and us (past, present & future people) being redeemed from hell because of our sins - may it be great or small - it is still a sin - a THING that separates us from the love of God. if you believe and accept this truth from Jesus and receive it in your heart through a prayer you will receive His mercy for your sins and salvation will be yours.
forgiveness of sins is just the first step in getting closer to God, after you have received so, you should press on to know Him more by nurturing your spiritual life and living a life that is avoiding to commit sin :)

no , it's not that easy
a sin to God , that he may forgive no matter what
but sins to other human beings , needs them to forgive me , not only God
that's why we are advised to love each other and forgive each other
