Hey don't worry about it.
Even if the secretary is being rude, if you don't really pay attention to it, there's nothing they can do about it.
I don't understand this church your going to.
It seems like from your point of view, the pastor is kinda forcing you to be the witness?
Hey, there are many other churches with good people.
If something doesn't work out, leave and find a church with better community.
Remember, if you are truthful the whole time, there's nothing that could go wrong.

Offer what you do know. You may not have seen what happened but you may have seen who was in the area or the physical condition of the park or something else helpful. The only way everyone can know that you didn't see the tragic event is to go on record stating that you did not see it.

Do the deposition. Tell the truth. If you did not see what happened that is the truth.
The attorney representing your church will meet with you before the deposition to discuss the sort of questions you may be asked. He or she will tell you what your responsibilities are in the deposition.
If the opposing counsel says, "Did you see...." and you didn't see it, say so. Say, "No, I did not."
Keep your answers brief, to the point and factual.

Stand up for yourself, if you don't know what happened, giving a deposition would be lying. Not to mention the fact that your Pastor is not a very good leader if he is asking you to do this. I suggest you also find a different church.

If you are called to give it by a court of law then you must. I did one once. It was hell. But it doesn't have to be in your case. Just tell them the truth. If you didn't see anything, then you didn't see anything. Just tell the secretary that you did not see anything and if they want you to testify they will have to have you subpoenaed. But if you do know something, it is your duty as a citizen to come forward and say so.

Relax. You can not offer what you don't have. However, they will find this out. Tell them what you know, and say you don't know to what you don't know. The only reason you should say no, is if you fear retaliation from the group of kids. But be honest with the guy and his secretary, they may feel what you know is useful even if you don't.

I can't tell you what to do--but I can tell you what I would do: given the pastors attitude, I would find another church, tell him not to bother me again--and if the harassment (because that is what it is, legally as well as morally) I would take out a restraining order against him and the church.

Talk to an attorney. Let them know you might sue the church as well. They can't force you to do that. You could get in big trouble getting caught lying to court or authorities.

You form of have 2 questions going at right here. as quickly as we bypass to confession we get 3 element out of going. a million. Forgiveness of our sins via Our Lord Jesus Christ. 2. We get carry of the graces that is going alongside with it and our soul's are back in a state of grace to get carry of Our Lord interior the Blessed Sacrament. 3. We study approximately our potential and our failures, and we improve in our spirituality, via fact a penance is going alongside with it. This enables us to attempt to keep away from sinning against Our Lord Jesus Christ. In different words it cleanses our soul. As for paying to stay in stable status with the Catholic Church after a divorce, that's no longer real the priest advised ought to have advised him to start an annulment technique and that expenditures could be in touch. you won't be in a position to easily pay the church some money and you'd be ok. It would not artwork that way. The technique he ought to stay with is to record annulment papers and it will bypass to a listening to till now the Tribunal of The Catholic Church. There of direction are some expenditures, via fact there is artwork in touch interior the approach, yet they are no longer too intense. you could't purchase your faith, there is not any cost for eternal salvation. no you could actually study what's on your coronary heart, basically God can try this. So if a individual buys an annulment, is it from God or guy. could that individual comprehend in his or her coronary heart that it replaced into real. i assume that must be left interior the hands of God. God bless you.

Give the deposition and tell them exactly what you saw. It will be up to the lawyers, etc to decide if it will help or hurt the case. And since you saw nothing, what will it hurt?
