find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats, take 300-400 calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
5-8servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water a day
5-6 small meals instead of 3 big ones (breakfast is the most important - make sure to get complex carbs like whole wheat bread, oatmeal, fruit etc)
4-6 times a week cardio for 30-50min, light weight training, many reps
no junk food, no sodas, no alcohol, no white flour (cakes, cookies, white bread, pasta etc.), nothing high in sugar (ice cream)

Dear Milda,
Your height is also a dimension to be considered before taking any such decision .Besides ,at twelve the last thing you need to worry about is your weight .
If you really have to worry about something :worry about having fun ,your studies ,your pets, your love and duties towards your parents and your future.Worry about being a better person than a thin one .
I mean it in the best manner and hope you don't obsess over this too much.
I feel if you would concentrate on keeping away from junk food ,avoid sodas and sugared /flavered products.Basically any thing that comes in a can /carton or plastic bag .
Play any game (outdoors) rather than vedio/computer games !!
Trust your mirror and the way your clothes fit and don't let ANYONE tell you otherwise ....
I hope you'll find in your self a very beautiful person who 's at peace with how they look .
So Smile a lot and stay charged...

I am sure you aren't. Especially if you are athletic because muscle weighs more than fat. And at 12 you are not at your full height yet so you could get taller. Go here and you can compute your bmi and i'm sure you will find that YOU ARE NOT FAT! Don't let anyone else's opinions affect what you think about yourself. O and here is the site...http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/

I have a daughter your age I would be very concerned if she asked me that. Your weight is fine. Our paediatrician says you won't stop growing until highs school. Enjoy being young ,don't waste your time thinking about that stuff. We all can't be 105 lbs. I was 152 lbs when I was 15yrs. old and now I'm 123lbs. and I'm 31yrs. old. your body will always be changing stay active and eat healthy that's the best you can do.

Sorry Honey, but you're the only one who can truly answer that. I mean you are only going to be what you feel you are so if you feel like you are overweight than thats how you will see yourself no matter what the next person says, but if you feel fine with the way you are and happy with yourself then thats what you will be and that is the best way to having the healthiest life inside and out.

Well, you should probably lose some weight. I am 5'10 and I start looking fat if my weight goes over 135.
(I hate skinny; so don't think I am one of those gilrs that thinks normal is fat.)
Stop eating crap; you are too young to be overweight.

you are still growing and you might be more muscular than fat.. and also, it depends how tall you are!! but, if you are not eating any junk food and exercising daily, then you are fine.
