For example, I weigh 52kgs and am wanting to know how many pounds that makes me. How do you work it out.

The best way to do that in this age of the Net would be to punch in a search for "converter"and you'd get anything converteted into any thing else .
Be it currency,pressure ,temperature ..literally anything.
As far as your weight is concerned it 'd be an equivalent of 114.64pounds .
You might want to visit the site I went to,to get your answer.By the way, that's some weight most of the population is hunting for themselves!!!

Best to go onto google and get a scale that will translate kgs to pounds. You should be able to one easily and download it and keep it around.
