People have tested God, but even if he were to "switch off your laptop," chances are it would be because of a power failure or something like that. Most things done can be logically explained or illogically explained. The thing is, if a person is being tested by God, then that person may not realize or refuse to realize what is happening. And as for testing God. I am sure at least half of the Philosophers in the world have done so. Whether He has accepted the test is a different story.

Do you really know what you're talking about?
In the past many scientist believed in the existence of a God.
However, when they viewed the grandeur of the universe and saw the billions of stars unimaginable light years removed from earth, many simply couldn't imagine that a God creating this could even focus down so as to be aware of the insignificant ants crawling on the surface of this one planet. Ants that actually believe each one that they matter in the grand scope of things!
If an ant were to stand on your shoe and scream at the top of its voice, 'man doesn't exists! , it's just someones imagination. " Do you think the man to whom the shoe belonged could hear this pity full creature?
Still, the Bible does say that God pays attention and knows those that love and obey his laws. The others are just chaff to him - unimportant things that like all green grass is here today and gone tomorrow.
So scream away Mr Ant while you have the time.

You cannot sell ice cubes to an Eskimo, your rekoning is your life. From the moment you enetered this world, til the moment you die.
On the side, on a purely scientific and mathematical level, what are the chances of YOU being ALIVE on EARTH, considering the vastness of the universe and possible multi-verse. 1 in a trillion or more accurately, one in an infinite. Your LIFE.

Of course God has been tested. We test him every time we sin. And he always does what is right.
