They are well regarded by Forbes, bankrate.com, and kiplinger's magazine. You can check them out online or call them toll free at 888-882-3837. They will send you checks and an ATM card within about a week after your initial application and deposit, and will reimburse you for $6 per month for ATM fees charged by other banks if you use their ATMs. You can even make deposits at ATMs from banks that have a relationship with Everbank - ask them for the nearest deposit-taking ATMs in your town or use the ATM-finder on their web site.
