I know people who have given and still give thier whole lives to Jesus thisd means being sold out to Christ following no matter what the cost.

My question what do you think of people who sell out to Christ and what I mean is those who put a mate, boyfriend/girlfriend, finace, marraige etc before the Lord and sell out everything and put the Lord last on thier list meaning and basically sell thier soul, morales values beliefs to the world, just to get what they want?

Have you experienced this is your walk or know others that have? This question was heavy on my mind so I thought I would post.

As I have grown in Christ, I have learned that placing Him first in my life, causes many blessings with other people. My marriage is better, my relationship with my children and grandchildren is better and it is better with my friends.

My husband loves the Lord so much that I see his example effecting our children. Because of His leadership of obedience and submittance, He helps me and our kids be closer to Jesus.

God tells men to be priests (not bosses) over their families and to show them that Jesus is more important than anything else.

I can really understand where you're coming from. Ther are
those that commit their lives totally to the Lord AND REALLY
LIVE IT. There are those that make a show for whomever,
and never intended in the first place to follow the Lord. It was
all show. There are those that hide their evil natures under
the cloak of piety. These are the worst. You think you are
dealing with an honorable person..but it always comes out.
These are the ones that really make people want no part of
the church.

You have things a little backward here. Being sold out to Christ is putting absolutely nothing at all before Christ Jesus. You must be willing to leave everything you have in this world if that is what it takes for you to have a pure relationship with Jesus.
Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added unto you.

Jesus should always come first. I am not sure what your saying, it sounded like at first that you wanted to know what if they gave everything up for Christ. Then it sounded like Christ was last. Not sure...

Ill just tell you what I think on the subject. Using my situation as an example, since it is all I really know. My husband could get a ton of good paying jobs to support us, but he absoolutly wont unless he gets sundays off. God comes first, so, we dont have a whole lot of money. We love God, and know he will provide. Daniel is taking classes at church on his only day off besides sunday to be a missionary. We will be out somewhere who knows where in a few years, serving God. We will give up our roots here in Michigan, and do his will.

God blesses those who love him and serve him. Nothing should come before the Lord.

Being a "christian" is not a word. It is an action. There are so many people who claim they are christians, but God even said, "few will enter his kingdom" People who put God on the back burner don't love him enough to put him first in their lives. They are missing out and they don't even know it. They want to be able to say "they got into heaven" while people who live for God want to say "Hey Jesus, feels just like yesterday since we hung out"

Encourager,

In the book of Luke, Jesus speaks to his disciples and those who would follow him, and tells them this: "If any man would come after me, he must deny himself, pick up his cross, and follow me." This is basically stating that Jesus is to have first place in our lives. We can love our families, but they are not to take priority in our lives. We must allow God first place, and allow God to take care of the rest.

The best way I can LOVE my family, my husband, my friends, is to love God FIRST.
He wants to be Lord and Savior of your life.

thats why the bible say narrow is the road to eternal life, broad is the path that leads to destruction. we have our weaknesses and tendency to choose the easy path.
