Only if she signs it first and then you sign under her name in front of the teller.

Yes if she signs it over to you, However if someone does that and the check bounces you are responsible to your bank to pay back that money and any charges they make for it. If it o9s from an established school you may be OK but do not make a practice of it. Even though this is your girlfriend right now be absolutely sure you have proof that you did get the money back to her in case any disagreement comes up around this. A friend of mine deposited a check to help a friend out last spring and it ended up in an awful mess because the person got the money back from them and then turned around and took them to court claiming they took their money and they had been so close for yrs.

A better way may be for her to go a bank and open a savings accountb and deposit the check. They generally do not do a lot of checking before they will open a savings account or go to a store or place that cashes checks so this does not become a habit.

She endorses the check, you can deposit it in your bank after you endorse it. Then you will have to wait until the check clears before you will be able to draw the money out. That should take less than 4 or 5 days.

yes, she just needs to sign it over to you. If for any reason the check is returned unpaid, you will be responsible though.

she will have to cash it...and then if she wants you to you can put the cash into your account. they won't deposit a check to your account unless her name is on the account also, or your name is on the check/rebate.
