'Videre possum' does mean 'I can see". It means you are physically able to see and you can look at something.

If you meant 'I can see' more in the senses of 'I can perceive' or 'I can understand', it would be 'Sentire possum', or, more likely to a Latin speaker, just 'Sentio', which means 'I see' or 'I understand', etc.
