Thank you very much!!

One last thing I would like to ask though.

How would I say "Mom why do we have to go...." etc. I know that mother is "Mère" But is there any other way of saying it that doesn't sound so formal?

'J'ai vu quelque chose de très bizarre.'

The 'de' is not a mistake. For concrete objects, like 'un homme' (a man), it would be 'J'ai vu un homme très bizarre' (no 'de'), but 'quelque chose' (something) is an indefinite pronoun and requires 'de' before 'bizarre', which (like most French adjectives) comes after the word it modifies. Hope this helps!

In response to your second question, 'Maman, pourquoi on doit partir?' Inversion (doit-on), while grammatically correct, sounds a little less natural in this context.

as "we noticed" refers to an movement which occurred ago you will have to say : nous vîmes (grammatically proper) But French persons have become lazy and do not use it very so much so it is historical style. Nowadays they are saying "nous avons vu" (that's grammatically mistaken however who cares, now not the french a minimum of) for "it is a comedy" the french translation is "c'est une comédie"
