MY FAVORITE!!!!! I don't like them, I love the breed!!! They are beautiful, intelligent & eager to please. They have tremendous strength & stamina, they are fearless and very protective. A very devoted, loyal and affectionate animal. Their grooming is very minimal. When they love you they are like your shadow, on the move right behind you or beside you every time you make a move. The Dobermans are not for a novice owner since they can be very stubborn and head strong!! All in all they would give their life for the ones they love. I wouldn't trade them for anything!!!

I have one, she's the love of my life! I get her as a pup when my kids were 5 & 6... everyone said I was crazy to have that breed around my kids. She was always been wonderful, she has thought she was one of the kids too!I I spent a lot of time training her... teaching her to not jump up on ya or not chase cats. She is so smart. Dobermans are the smartest dogs I have ever been aound. She has never acted agressive around any of my family. She barks and scares strangers, which I have never complained. She knows when to be quite too.
Read all the info you can about them and spend a lot of time w/ him/her and make him the dog you want.

They are they best! I will never own another breed again.
They are smart ,loyal, cuddly, just great, as long as you have the time & energy for one. They are not good pets for inexperienced owners, though. They can quickly take control if you let them, & they are SMART. But if you want a constant companion, & not a dog to keep in a yard or outside (they are definatly not outside dogs), the work they require is more than worth it to have a dog like my Paris. I can't imagine loving anything as much as her!
She is such a cute little goofball in every picture I take of her..

they are great dogs! they are good with families as long as you have them when they are little and raise it or you know for a fact that the person before you treated it properly. they remember those kind of things. they can be REALLY friendly and gaurd dogs... mainly they just make ppl think they are big and bad if they were treated right unless someone of the household is about to be harmed (or the dog thinks that)

Its all in how you raise them. I have a Pit Bul and he is a loving hamless pet...just barks and wants to play. He likes other pets and loves kids. He even watches Animal Planet. Dobbies are the same way..raise it with love and let it be around kids and other pets they are babies. Teach it to fight and be mean then that is what they do. All dogs are protective of thier owners. And you do have to watch all dogs...someone treats them mean thay may bite them..ie a little kid that has no sense...just love them and take care of them.

I like them with the right owner. They are highly intelligent, trainable dogs but they need a firm but gentle owner committed to training because they can be strong-willed. They need plenty of exercise and mental stimulation and prefer having a job of some kind.

They can be really good dogs. I would definitely start with socializing a puppy with people and dogs as soon as it's had all of it's shots. That will help with it's temperament.

They are beautiful! And they make great companions, but should be kept on a leash when out in public. They are protectors.
