Well, I will protest killing cows for beef when you get out there and convince those lions to quit killing the animals the like to eat so much. And, what about those crocodiles just sitting there waiting to ambush the waterbuffalo as they cross the rivers. That's just plain rude. Imagine it, trying to cross a river and next thing you know your being dragged to the bottom of the river and spun around.

well since this is in the religious section then you can get the answer for that one from the bible.
They are to be our food!
But, beef cattle are not typically tortured. They live a very nice life with everything handled for them. Then once they become of a certain weight/age then they are butchered. Granted someplaces they are butchered more kindly than others. But for the most part they don't suffer at all.

Get real a cow has a choice it can be a baseball glove or my dinner! Come on cow make the choice!

Cows are NOT tortured do your research and STOP listening to terrorist groups like PETA!

Well, I'm sure they do to a certain degree. They can choose which patch of grass to graze on and when to bellow/moo etc.

But because this is a world dominated by human beings, they don't have much else beyond that.

Hey, they eat what they want, and lick thier cowlicks, it's all they've known, being a herd animal and all.

So what's the big deal? I see them when I drive out of town, they seem about as happy as any animal. They don't dance, they don't need Playstations, they are animals.

And there's nothing better than a fresh ribeye, don't you agree?

I'm sure the cows are fine with it. As long as they are getting fed and watered, I don't think they care. Don't eat beef if you feel the cows really care.

Cows are not tortured. You are thinking of calves, who are raised for veal. I am sure cows feel pain when they are slaughtered but it is over quickly.

...God gave man dominion over the animals, and ordained it that man can eat all meat.
...No one forces you to eat meat, and we can eat meat if we wish.
...If the animals felt it was unjust, why isn't there mass revolt?
