It doesnt really matter when you eat, I prefer working out at the end of the day because I count how much I ate and if I ate a little more than usual I know that I should exercise more, but if less.. i will exercise a little less. It always helps. But eating before or after doesnt matter. dont eat though right before an exercise because it's not good for your body to eat and then right away exercise.

it is ideal for good results to eat before AND after a workout... 1 1/2 to 2 hours before the workout, and within 2 hours after your workout. carbohydrates are essential for a good workout beforehand.

before - carbs a little bit and drink water
after - protein to repair muscle
