I don't understand why christians have a problem with jewish people, I mean if jesus was jewish, then aren't you guys kind of like hypocrites? How can you have a leader who isn't even the same religion as you...yet you're suppose to be completely christian.

Ok, so from what I read...Jewish was before Christians...so all of you christians, are jewish in some way, b/c your leader, jesus is really jewish...Lol...this is confusing and kind of funny, like a soap opera. So you christians just wanted to take over and re-name it?

first of all, who is it that is having the problem? I am Christian, and i don't have a problem with Jewish people.

Yes, Jesus was Jewish... he was also the Christ... I follow Christ.... so I am a Christian...

stop taking on the offense of others.... what people say against a certain religion isnt ours to battle... for whoever is having the problem has to deal with their hate and anger, and nothing short of God will help them change.

well, if being a Christian means you accept that Jesus is the Lord and Savior, than Jesus was Christian in a way. All Christians were Jewish at one time. Then there was a seperation of faiths because the Christians believed that Jesus was the Lord and (as I understand it) Jews believe that while he was an important prophet, he was not the Messiah. So Jesus is the same religion as us, because Christians did not exist in his time, we were all still Jews, it's one in the same. And I believe one of the reasons why some of the more extreme and hateful Christians have a problem with Jews is because of their belief that they killed Christ, because of the fact that Judas betrayed him and the people of the town would not save him when the Romans gave them a chance to choose a prisoner to go free. I'm not saying that this is true, but I believe this is a the reason some Christians use to spread intolerance.

I'm a Christian and I do not have a problem with Jewish people. So please do not generalize this situation. Not all christians are hypocrites. Just the ones who have a problem. Please learn to write your question's better. Jesus is a Jewish Christian Leader. Jewish is the Race Not the religion.

Yes Jesus is/was Jewish. Christian means follower of Jesus. Christians have no problems with the Jewish people that I know of. I embrace my Jewish neighbors

Christians love Jewish people. You are correct, Jesus was and still is Jewish. Christianity's roots are Judaism. We follow this Jewish man and that is why we are called CHRISTIANS.

Jesus is God's way of reaching down to man with love, grace and forgiveness. He is a personal relationship not a religion.

As a Christian I do not "have a problem with Jewish people."

I am bugged by being lumped into some general statement about why Christians do this or that.

Christianity has Jewish roots. We are grafted into the family of God.

Yes He was Jewish, but I fail to find any humor in the Man who got pinned up on that cross for us. Its not about religion as all religion is of man and falls short before the glory of the Lord. Jesus knew this and had a great deal of love for all and a close relationship to the Father. He died for us, can you say that anyone else has done this for you. Maybe you should think before you speak next time as I try to never forget the price in which He paid.

You're right. Jesus was a basically orthodox Jew from the West Bank.

But the religion of Christianity came long after the time of Jesus, and based on concepts of Judaism as well as other popular religions within the Roman world.

Well, the answer to this question goes back about 7,000 years.
I'm sure you don't want me to go back THAT FAR., so I will
just give you an overview.
Jesus WAS a jew, Jesus taught that he was the Son of God,
sent to provide the way for man to be reconciled with God, and to have all their sins forgiven. He also gave new teachings--He made statements that were in total opposition to theHebrew church of that time. The sanhedrin (Jewish government) had absolute control over
the people, and here comes Jesus telling them that they
can be "delivered" from the hands of the tyrants...and making'
the blasphemous statement that HE,JESUS is the only son
of God, sent from Heaven to give salvation to EVERYONE.
That didn't sit too well with the authorities, so they plotted
to kill him. Read your Bible about the 3 days prior to Jesus'
crucifixion until the day he was taken up to Heaven. We
celebrate this holiday soon. It's called Easter..It's not about
rabbits, or easter eggs, or ham dinner. It's about the
resurrection of Jesus Christ, who came, did his ministry,
gave the way of salvation, was murdered, and went back
home to God the Father.
The believers that formed the Christian church were a mixed
lot. A lot were even Jews, but they were called Christians
because they were followers of Christ.
