Hell is not eternal. The Greek word "aion" means age. That is a specific period of time. The bible speaks of "ages" Therefor the term "eis ton aiona" should not be translated as "forever." The adjective of "aion" is "aionion". It has been mistranslated as eternal or everlasting. It really means age abiding. These mistranslations ( there are 14 of them in the New Testament) have led Christians to believe that Hell is forever. It is not.
The truth is that God will restore all things. All people will one day worship Him. These promises in the Bible can not be fulfilled if there is eternal punishment. If you would like to learn more go to www.tentmaker.org/articles.

Having said that, I would strongly suggest making a decision about God in this lifetime. He is a loving, forgiving God who gives no everlasting torment to anyone. That is a God who will greatly bless you here and now.

If it turns out that hell is real, I'm sure you definitely would change your mind about believing in god or more correctly, about not believing in god. But you'd have no cause to rejoice-- unfortunately, your newfound belief wouldn't buy you a "Get Out of Hell Free" card.

Hehe... what do you really think? God gives us the choice to believe or not, but by warning us (with His prophets) what the consequences are for each soul. Now you have to think whether or not you want to take that chance, cos once you die you will be asked in your grave and that's not a good time that you will spend there waiting for the Day of Judgement if you denied Him while you were alive...! He gives us a chance to proove ourselves to Him, in the end He will judge us in the most fair manner but it's better to have scored high in this life if you ask me....

You can change your MIND, but you can't change where you are. If everyone had the choice to go to heaven after death even if they didn't believe in they're former life, then everyone would go to heaven, right?

We don't know when we are going to die. After you die it is too late. You need to
make the decision to accept Christ as Saviour before you die.

You can do it right before you die. God seems to find those few seconds of time-difference very, very, very important.

Deathbed conversion is good / Right after death is wrong.

Makes perfect sense to me.

Sure, you can change your mind, and you will, but it will be too late. Now is the accepted time.
