from personnal experience i've found that if you blot the affected area with cool wet teabags and let dry then apply aloe you heal quickly with the least peeling. i moved from ohio to florida over 20 years ago and remembered that we had tannin spray on firetrucks for burn victims. teabags have tannic acid when you wet them it comes out. drinking water and keeping cool is also very important. excesssive sweating will cause peeling.

Sounds like you forgot to wear sunscreen when you went tanning. There is not much you can do to tone down the redness without using concealer. Remember that skin cancer doesn't care if you are a teenager or an older person so be sure to use a good sunscreen every time you tan or consider switching to a spray tan at a salon.

This has happened to me sadly MANY times!!
Ok, your best bet is to NOT going tanning again for a week or so.
When this happens to me I take a cool, not cold bath, don't scrub your skin at all with the loofah/wash cloth.
Pat your skin dry and apply aloe vera gel (They sell it at Walgreens) or if you are really bad they have this stuff called Solarcaine Aloe Extra Burn Relief Gel....this stuff is great and will speed up your skin's recovery.
Keep applying it, a few times throughout the night.
Drink alot of water too, sleep and water are the 2 best things you can do for your skin.
Remember your skin is an organ and needs rest.
Good luck!

I have used good facial creams. It takes some of the red out but it makes your skin lose that tight feeling. it might take a little red out . But your skin will feel better.
